Consolidated - Cards Dropping Today (6/26) Preview
-
@Onix_Savage22_PSN I think it's decent. At least they are trying something different I guess. Lots of complaints about how they make it impossible to earn stubs, so giving out 75k is pretty solid imo.
-
I mean, I do give them credit for trying a few new twists but it will be devisive.
I'm okay with extreme missions in Gauntlet Mini seasons since they are for packs only. I am not sure there is a compelling reason to play if you don't want Mauer, especially if you can't swing Hall of Fame difficulty.
I like that they were aware enough to make the cards for the program sellable since it is a limited time program. But just looking at the first set of missions they can all be finished online but not offline.
You kind of get an idea of how valuable stubs are when the stub reward is 75k for a limited time 3 tiered program with easy, medium and hard missions with no alternative progression methods.
-
Gaunlet mini-seasons will have better pack rewards if you complete missions on Hall of Fame. Kind of love this idea. Better rewards for challenging yourself. And it makes games vs. CPU less boring.
Until you get 5 cards at 3500 QS value each.

98 Bryce Harper cycle card is being released.
Unfortunately he is the Chase card
50 bundle?

Of course thats always a risk with packs. But I won't complain about having better odds.

Multi player missions eliminates me.
They are not even showing subsequent missions, they are hidden until you finish the first group.
With the only card I want being a rare round in the spotlight pack there is no real incentive for me to play today
I thought the graphics showed two new conquests. Don’t forget about those.

I just took a look. Gauntlet mini season is a good way to encourage, but not force, high difficulty play. Well done.
Countdown...they tried something new and its the exact opposite of what I would ever want in content. I truly despise the trend this year towards pushing people to play every mode. I will vote with the only metric I have available to me, which is to make sure I simply do not play during this time (which granted was probably going to happen anyway)

Yeah one thing to remember Re: HOF in miniseasons, is that it doesn’t require it to be done in one season. Just grind TA playing 3-4 games on HOF, then play everything else on rookie. Seems like a good grind to me
Rinse repeat. I especially like that there’s no series requirement so it’ll be the ultimate place to grind PxP and TA for other teams

Obviously they went away from the play how you want and now they're forcing you to play online
Ranked, Weekend Classic, Events, Battle Royale, Multiplayer Programs. There are plenty of online modes for exclusive rewards. To advertise a program and these rewards like it will be achievable for all and force online gameplay (just to finish the first tier) shows you how dumb and out of touch SDS is. They've $hown their true color$ this year and if I hadn't invested 500+ hours and a few dollars into this game already, I'd quit now.
I was about 85% sure I wasn't going to buy the game next year, this has pushed me to 100% certain I won't.

Let’s play predict the June Countdown Hard Missions:
Get 5 HRs in one BR game with Live Series Collection Troy Tulowitzki
-
The question to ask yourself is: do you want Zack Britton and Acuna?
If not, then why be sad. There’s no forcing going on.
The cards will be purchasable if you want them. I never played BR I hate it and not good enough for it but in years past I’d buy the card and never was forced to BR, for instance

Not necessarily, but the 75K in stubs and XP would be nice.
Just felt like false marketing. Made it seem like it would be something achievable for all online and offline players.
-
They just keeping making unforced errors.
There is absolutely no reason why a time limited program should require online play. Why make content that is going to [censored] off half your player base? Especially when people are already generally unhappy.
I don't understand the logic.

I wanted the 75k
Mauer will be No Sell
The Spotlight Program cards will be No Sell.
Standard packs rarely net any decent return stub wiseHow are us more casual offline players suppose to earn any stubs at all to earn the few cards we want but that are tucked away in packs?
-
What are the requirements for Joe Mauer, i'm at work so can't see the mini reason rewards.

I think it was just 20k in the mini season. The difficulty stuff is just for bonus packs, there are still missions for any difficulty.

O ok, sounds good. Thank you.
Not sure about the program, may just end up buying Acuna and Britton.

You’re not. Casual players don’t bankroll them for Diamond Dynasty
Engage in the things you like playing. Offline I’ve been loving the Summer miniseasons and enjoying playing with all of those guys I pull from the 9k pxp pack. It’s at worst a guaranteed 4750 stubs plus the TA packs.
It’s kind of like an AA player saying “but I want what the MLB players have” and then getting it.
There HAS to be some kind of reward for being able to complete difficult content for people who can complete it
It’s the fact that others see their rewards and get FOMO
I’m not speaking from personal experience as I suck [censored] at this game but I have tons of hours to throw at it so I just brute force it with time and beer and KSHE 95
-

But I don't want everything. I don't need or care about Tulo or Martinez, or even the New Harper. I don't even want the new Acuna.
I am trying to keep up with 1 single team. I am not even counting Pujols because I am not trying to finish collections. Is it too much to think you could earn enough stubs to keep up with one out of 30 teams?

This is not true.
Lets not forget casuals make up the majority of box sales, and they do still buy some stubs. They arent going to spend hundreds to chase live series, but some will absolutely top off for a flash sale.
