I still dont understand why the program is only 5 cards. Even if they just drop some more relievers and lesser named players to pad out theme teams. Not sure why guys like Brazoban (who is one of the few players that was shafted from a WBC he absolutely earned) or Raley can't get a relief card for instance.

@rubicante23_PSN I’d love a 6 inning online mode where you pick a team and can only use players from that team. Give teams boosts based on how good that teams cards in the game are. Better yet, balance your [censored] game between teams.
I just thought of something that might be fun. A mode or event where you can only use players from one team but can only play a team one time until you are through the entire major league. A team gets X'd out when you use them. For instance, say you use the Yankees the first game. You can't use them again until all the other teams have been used. This would probably need to be a mode or event used after the all star break to make sure every team has sufficient cards.

Here is a post I saw on Reddit of the Pack cards. SDS has not posted it so I can't verify it but I have a tendency to believe it is true because it shows Lou Brock in a pack.
How does a pitcher, that hasnt thrown a single pitch all season, get a 96 OVR card?
[censored], Brett a rare round likely. Won't see him but I'll get all those 94's like 6 times each.

@D_e_m_I_s_E_MLBTS yeah, that sounds fine - there just needs to be something to require people to obtain and utilize other cards.
But, they never do these kinds of restrictions on cards you can use - theyre always very broad with any restriction, even in events. Which basically just ends up being "just keep using all the same dudes as always".
If you have tighter restrictions, a million people will be in here yelling "stop telling me what cards to use! I only wanna use my p5 Ketel...dont tell me what to do!"

I think this is exactly what happened. They used to have fun (in my opinion) events with more restrictions, but everyone complained about not being able to use certain cards so we're left with what we got now.

They did it with cityscapes Bautista and he hasn't pitched in 2 years.

Why are we at 98 already like actually answering my own question. I feel like it’s wbc but at the same time last year the prime collection reward was only 96 if I remember right June lightning’s where only 97 same with all star cards. This year power creep wasn’t so much of a creep. -

K, follow me here.
An additional ranked mode completely separate of current ranked. Theme teams only, have to use a different theme team each game. Can only use a team once per run.
You get say 10 points per win, no points for losses. 300 points possible.
Rewards similar to WC with rewards being passed out at every 10 points and solid reward every 50 points.
10 points - 1 pack
20 points - 3 packs
50 points - I don't know like 10 BIAH packs
100 points - 20 packSomething like this (would definitely need some more thought especially on how match-ups would go). You could even do 3 tiers - all star, HOF and Legend with better rewards in Legend tier. These would be 9 inning games so you would have to make the rewards worth it. You could make it 3 inning games but we already have these in BR and events. Similar to BR you can forfeit and start over any time.
