Being a teacher helps. Having summers free is a blessing in real life and when it comes to playing MLB the show. Although, I’ve been at Disney since Wednesday and won’t be back to the Lou until Thursday. Time to see if I can grind this innings XP content with one less week.

Just north of wherever you are. Palm Coast, between Daytona and St. Augustine

I…..feel bad you’re at Orlando (sh it show)

You’ve got to be exhausted. I want to knife myself even on 95 to 4. Getting there and then actually being there

Disney sucks if you’re not a kid haha

We’re a Disney family. So we enjoy it. But I will never argue with a person who says that they don’t like it because I could totally see that side as well. It does take a sort of not-right-in-the-head mentality.

We actually stopped by the Daytona area on our way here to take our son over to college visit to Embry Riddle. AWESOME university.

I’m an Empty nester so don’t know schools other than Navy/Norfolk

That’s great Man have an awesome vacation.

Stay away from the 14.00 waters, or Gatorland ads

I could tell you a few places to go to but not necessarily kid friendly. Restaurants that rule, at least in the Smyrna and north but if you’re doing Disney just don’t drive anywhere and absorb that cost up the [censored]

    @sbchamps17_NSW

Cheers let’s have a beer, send me a private message

Can complain about MLB the show at Flagler beach bars, where stress level is low

Best restaurant in Flagler is Oceanside

    https://oceansidebeachgrill.com/

Java joint is probably #2 but they close at around 2 PM. Breakfast at Java joint then Oceanside or Tortugas. Flagler is awesome

Wel’ll ultimately end up at Finn’s

If you’re south of me, Ormond go to Hulls. Check out their seafood selection (adjoining market)

Hulls’ seafood selection is a chefs dream

Oceanside has the Philly cheesesteak omelet. Nothing can touch that in the morning.

Except Java Joint’s Corned Beef Hash Benedict

In four days, there will be - a new miniseason, a new diamond quest, a new spotlight program, a new event program, two new conquests to do, etc.

A post I dont see enough is "where do you guys find time to do all this???". I've played a lot of sports games, and many are like this. I do usually find the time, but I have flexibility that most dont.

For people who complain about Victor or other stuff being too hard to get - how would you do it? Like, how do you make a reward that feels exclusive? - a reward where you go "whoa, that person has X card, thats impressive!"? The only way is to have it require an obscene amount of grinding - the gamers themselves define how much that is. And the answer is SO MUCH...like so so much.

Well schools are about to be done for the summer if they aren't already, so I'd think a lot of players will have the time. While I won't guess the number of college/school kids that play I'd think it's not an insignificant number

I work a ton, have a wife who likes to do things, a pool to take care of in the summer (that's [censored] near a full time job in and of itself). I usually just try to play when I can...sometimes I get on and just build stadiums to upload or for my DD team

@JDHalfrack_PSN So so worth it though...especially when my wife gets to enjoy it or has her friends come over and they're all enjoying themselves...little things like that make it worth it.

what you described is ~10 hours of content, excluding the event.
The last content drop like this was 2.5 weeks ago. 10 hours of content in 2-3 weeks is not a lot for most people.

If you want to add on the event (I had stopped playing these after the first couple because content that is only up for a few days is not something I want them to see engagement with) that can add some more time but you still are going to be able to burn through all content, including MP track, in less than 2 hours a day quite easily.

Now, grinding for the packs/stubs to try to fill out collections, thats obviously full time job level of grinding, on top of needing RNG luck. That fact that RNG is such a heavy requirement the last two years has really degraded things.

The content quantity would be fine if the medium/longer term grinds were more rewarding and less rng dependent. You know, like 2023's TA and Collection model.

Bingo. Knowing that my wife and/or daughter can go outside for 30 minutes if they wanna just get a little swimming and then come back in without having to load up a car, make a lunch maybe, bring a change of clothes, blah blah blah blah blah blah is definitely worth it.

Plus, my daughter has a handful of friends that like to come over and use the pool on a fairly regular basis during the summer. it’s good for them.

@Teak2112_MLBTS yeah, Im with you 100 percent on TA being ignored and no longterm grinds.

If you want to max out rewards, you should grind Events a ton when they drop - even to the point of getting most MP wheel spins. That takes quite a while (and I can put up a decent number of runs per game in events; it would be slower if you cant)

@rubicante23_PSN I want to do this, but events are so hit-or-miss for me. I can either do decent and run like, .500, or I get smoked right off the rip to the point where I can't hit a [censored] thing.

On a good run I can rip off the stats and the wins eventually...but if I'm getting smoked right off the rip to the point where I'm not even accomplishing anything in the program? I bow out. Juice isn't worth the squeeze of aggravation.

@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS it is probably easier when a program is just announced - lots of users of all skill trying to get the program done at that time. In more dead times, probably more good online players.

I know most people don’t really have the time to do this, but for the 30k stat bonuses in the program I have been hammering battle royale. Which yes does suck, however if you P5 those cards after the draft it makes things much smoother to grind. Guys like Brenton Doyle, Brandon Lowe, Bryson stott for me are better than the diamond cards to hit when they are leveled up. Just a suggestion.
