@GoozeFn_PSN at the same time ive been able to complete every other collection not spending that initial 500 to 600k on ohtani at the beginning. It works both ways. Id have live series done sure but I wouldnt have marte, Ramirez or miggy. Ohtani has never really been below 600k at any point this year. A ton of stubs either way. 600 or 900 at that point what's the difference. I would have saved myself 300k stubs over the course of 3 months. Thats nothing. My pack luck has been zilch. The choice is simple go after live series early or punt it. If you punt it, then you get to grab almost every other card you like or want to use. Maybe you were able to do both. You also pulled ohtani. And have had better pack luck. If your pack luck sucks. You should always punt live series.

So I've been having trouble hitting all star on the PS5. Again, think it may be a NiC on the PS5. I just went back and played a game on Xbox MLB 23. HOF game and made the guy quit and I was off but could actually see the ball. Now, I am buying 26 for the Xbox to see how that goes. Yea, I have to start over but if I can see the ball that is trade I will make. We'll see how it goes. Way cheaper test than buying a PS5 Pro.

@Bridge-Piece_XBL I’m just going to keep him at 1B where fielding doesn’t matter or DH. He’s not going to catch for me. I think I’m going double speed mod.

@doobiebross66-72_PSN AGREE. I was fortunate to finish the St. Patrick's Day collection but I still have Egg Hunt left to do

MLB the packs has turned into EA, and it’s sad. I remember when you could earn so many great cards, but now they are stuck behind the paywall.

@Onix_Savage22_PSN I finished the collection for Victor. But, I have grinded so much this year. I am already done with all the Legacy objectives except the Walks one. I will say this. Including Polanco in the Topps Now collection was truly a [censored] move by SDS. That is one of the two I skipped completing. I already have Ketel, why would I need Polanco.

@capardo_XBL It does, but it also allows you to get over the 20 card cap. Flipping is way more tedious.

Yo! I just tried the gold exchange, bro it's way more profitable then flipping mass amounts of bronze LS cards and less tedious! Thanks bro! I may now have a 2% chance instead of a 1% chance of getting LS collection done.

@DrBear100_PSN Make sure you do it as efficiently as possible. I used to literally buy 20 of every silver. Start with 3-79 + 1-78. When you run out of 79’s, do 4-78 + 1-77. Then, 6-77. Then either 2-76 + 7-75 or 2-75 + 6-76 until you’re out of both. Those are the best combinations.

I love this sort of dedication and knowledge. It’s not anything I’d do but pretty [censored] informative. No sarcasm

@DemIsE4_XBL i just think its simply harder to hit now then it was in prior years. You definitely do not get as rewarded for good input like years past.

Actually, you need to be careful. It really needs to be assessed as cost per value thing. For example Buying 79 rated silvers that are each 160 Stubs is going to get you worse overall value than buying 75 rated silvers that are 60 stubs. Or something like that.

I actually wrote an excel algorithm somewhere a month ago or so when someone first proposed this idea.

If I’m not mistaken, I think I also found that the rate of return wasn’t as good as just buying said silvers and flipping them. For what it’s worth.

I agree. I also went back to try 25 and noticed it was smoother. 26 often has a lag right B4 I swing, even offline. Output reward is just...ugh.

So then you say to yourself - “oh, I’m supposed to be playing a baseball game not making spreadsheets” then you thump yourself in the head

    Baseball is romantic

@JDHalfrack_PSN Silvers have been at quicksell for a while, so no you don’t have to be careful at all. Selling them all is way more tedious than exchanging them and selling the golds. It’s also not a better return if your holding for roster investments. I’m sitting on 100+ Cristopher Sanchez, Pages, Langliers, Rice, Yandy and many others. Guys like Rice and Mis I bought as silvers originally and added on with the silver to gold after the first update.

My love for spreadsheets outweighs my love of baseball. And I really love baseball.

    I would never say I wouldn’t buy a game called MLB the Spreadsheet… 🤣

@GoozeFn_PSN Sorry, I’ll add an addendum: if you’re strictly looking at silver to gold, then selling the gold.

Holding on to investments is a whole different thing. In some ways, if you’re willing to ply that game (which is a good one), purchasing high bronze cards that will turn to silvers might be a good investment too.

I assumed the silver to gold exchange route was for those looking to quickly sell their returns.
