The constant negativity is ruining MLB The Show
-
@dolenz_psn agreed it kinda feels like a game at dodgeball at some points and it’s not like sds is catching it and getting anybody else out just dodging everybody’s throw. Maybe a bad comparison but they basically know what the problems are communicate that they know the problems then proceed to do nothing. This is why I’ve stopped caring it’s a endless loop.
-
@Dolenz_PSN that’s fair. I just think that whenever they try to communicate, they get attacked. But the content team is still posting and showing up to streams. I give them credit for that when 90% of people are toxic during streams and on post replies.
-
@Bridge-Piece_XBL people are only toxic cause it feels like at some points they are talking to a wall, I will give them credit facing angry people probably isn’t easy. But they also could just make the people happy I’m not saying everything but most of the things that the reasonable people on these forums ask for isn’t to much to ask. Again there’s a reason I’m trying to be more casual going forward I am very happy and in a better mental state working again and am just trying to have fun playing the game. I’m not gonna let this company drain my energy waiting for them to combat cheating and other problems. but if somebody else opens the can of worms I don’t mind sharing my opinions.

Aw come on, back to the argument? I just wanted me some Arby's!
-
@Player99_MLBTS WE HAVE THE MEATS!!!
-
@Player99_MLBTS lol I do like me some Arby's!
New motto for the show. We have the cheats! Got a ring to it doesn't it?
-
@DemIsE4_XBL this made me laugh inside a little to much.

-
@Onix_Savage22_PSN I mean as someone who got annoyed myself for being erroneously restricted earlier in the year, I get it. The communication was slow - but in the end it was resolved.
Sometimes people need to realize how small of a company SDS is.

Well, they have been getting attacked on livestreams for years. It is not new.
My issue is the Mini Season Glitch. They slapped a band-aid on it. Let the exploiters benefit immensely from it, to the tune of THOUSANDS of free packs and now those of us who would like to legitimately earn those rewards cannot. The only reason we know that SDS knew about the issue is because of the band-aid, not because they actually addressed it.
But I think it is great you are enjoying the game. I do too when I sit down to play most times. I mean it's a game. It is meant to be enjoyed. If I sit down and am not enjoying it then I move on to something else. I certainly don't continue to plug away at it for hours until I reach a boiling point.
If you visit this forum though you definitely need to build up a resistance to the negativity. You also should learn which threads to avoid and which posters to take with a grain of salt.
-
@Bridge-Piece_XBL and that’s fair like I said I’ve chosen to just try to enjoy myself with my limited time on the game now. Working again has givin me a whole new value to free time, it’s very very very far from a perfect product but it’s what we have as baseball fans. We can sit here and preach about what we want to be improved but end of day how much of it to u think actually get listened to. I’m just gonna play the game if they fix these problems it’s a bonus.
-
@Dolenz_PSN I agree with that. But then as I thought about it more - tens of thousands of people did it. They probably can’t even track it correctly + can’t ban them all. Though I think they should, personally.
Goes with my entire point about the community. People cheating and taking advantage of glitches is childish behavior and it’s putting SDS in a hard place.

@Player99_MLBTS WE HAVE THE MEATS!!!
As soon as I saw that post, an Arby's ad said that exact thing.

-
@Dolenz_PSN I had probably the most unenjoyable hour and a half on ranked earlier but I’m just gonna let it run off my back. I played 4 1000 icons in a row trying to make an early ranked run and let’s just say it resulted in my new 97 leiters era getting destroyed. But oh well I was playing the closest thing to the sport I love I can atm and was trying my best to make light out of it.

They just never let us down near this bad as this year. Months after release and Im over here as I type cursing at the screens because I cant navigate to one or another without delays. Cant draft a team for showdown and set my lineup with pausing 10 sec between each action ect. Thats some MLB the Show 17 and 18 stuff right there, when servers were so shotty you couldnt navigate in DD. On top of that, all the lazy content, the all collections require Tons of cards you have to purchase instead of work for, just all the stuff they had worked hard to fix over the last 5-7 years they just walked back on all of it this year. Then you have the market bots and things that 3rd party apps are just running wild all over the game and they can do nothing about it. Its like they made all the wrong moves with moving forward on this game. There used to be some thing you could highlight as improved for the best, I dont know if ANYTHING like that can be said today.
-
They probably can’t even track it correctly
But they should be able to. Everybody's game logs are saved.
I don't know their database behind the scenes but how hard could it be to query for players who lost dozens, more like hundreds, of games to the CPU with a score of 0-0 in the course of one day?
Even I was able to go to the YouTuber's page and verify exactly how many times he did it. I think it was like 160+ times in one evening.
-
@Dolenz_PSN I mean that’s true. I don’t know their reason for not doing it. Could also be the loud mouth influencers in the community who did it as well. And SDS just wants to leave it alone rather than stir anything up? Idk. I don’t agree with them doing nothing but I’m sure there’s a reason.
-
@Player99_MLBTS ok sds employee number 99
I work for Arby's fool. Best restaurant ever.
I went to biggest Arby's which is south of Richmond Va few weeks back, pretty impressive. I got a rotisserie chicken because I'm on a high protein diet because I lift and it was really good.
-
@Ditka06-_MLBTS better then my old job before my current warehouse job and the construction company I used to work at a dirty old little ceasars. Let’s just say was never going hungry. Couldn’t say no to a 15% discount on a 7$ pizza.

Who could?
-
@DrBear100_PSN hey man not great but as a high school/ just out of high school kid at the time it was clutch.
-
I agree with your position on “the glitch”. Like @dolenz_psn said, SDS surely knows who and how many took advantage of it. Like you, I don’t understand why they haven’t done something about it. There’s been enough “internet chatter” about it. It calls into question their integrity. IMO.
The best explanation I heard about why nothing has been done was from a podcast I listened to. (TBR). The guy said that maybe SDS thinks that since the market dipped severely right after, everyone had a chance to buy cheap and finish collections and/or invest. So, all is good (??) I don’t know…
I’d like SDS to identify the folks who abused the glitch. (I’ll let SDS define - “abuse”). Ban them for the rest of the year. Publish their IDs. Make a huge “stink” about it. Then tell the community that they can track this kind of stuff. And, going forward, there is zero tolerance. Start restoring their gaming company integrity. I know I’m keeping an eye on it.
