@Dolenz_PSN almost like the Yankees are one of the oldest mlb teams. Wild.
Would you be surprised to learn that there are lots of teams older than the Yankees
Atlanta Braves (1871)
Chicago Cubs (1871)
Cincinnati Reds (1881)
Pittsburgh Pirates (1881)
St. Louis Cardinals (1882)
Philadelphia Phillies (1883)
San Francisco Giants (1883)
Los Angeles Dodgers (1884)
Baltimore Orioles (1901)
Boston Red Sox (1901)
Chicago White Sox (1901)
Cleveland Guardians (1901)
Detroit Tigers (1901)
Minnesota Twins (1901)
New York Yankees (1901)And before we go down the most Hall of Famers route, which is true, keep these facts in mind. The Giants are in 2nd place for most HOF and they are 23rd when it comes to cards this year. The Cardinals are 3rd in HOFs and are 9th in cards received so it is not based on that.
Also the Cardinals have one more actual HOF player card (8 players) in the game than the Yankees, who are tied at 7 with Atlanta and Boston.

@On_a_Power_Trip_PSN you know they don't have the rights to all players right? That's why year after year we see the exact same guys.
-
@Dolenz_PSN yea but mlb started in 1903 that's what I meant. They're an original team.
-
@ryguy034753_xbl well they need to get rights to more players to fix this then - or give the Yankees more cards for other teams like the Belli card we got a while back (they do this but not enough)
-
@On_a_Power_Trip_PSN that costs money and SDS is only good at losing business.
-
Yall aren’t gonna quit buying the game
-
@ryguy034753_XBL I guess that’s true
-
Pittsburgh Pirates (1881)
I'm bummed that we haven't had a Honus sighting yet this year. I'd love it if SDS got creative and made the "oldest" card in the game. 1899 Honus, while playing for the Louisville Colonels (which folded into the Pirates in 1900).
Alas... maybe he's not going to make an appearance this year.

In the end it is all about the size of the Fan Base and which teams they feel releasing players for is the most profitable.
And I feel the need to repeat this several times a year. I have no issue with the Yankees getting the most cards every year. My complaint is the disparity between them and many other teams.
The Yankees have received 16 cards since the day Detroit last received one. Those 16 cards since May 8th is more than 4 teams have received for the Year so far.
They have received 44 Legends and Flashbacks to the Rays 13. They have at least twice as many Legends and Flashbacks as 15 other teams (half the league)
Surely, you have to admit that it is a little too lopsided.

@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS There’s zero chance I’ll buy 27.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN if that’s what you want. Just don’t be one of those people on the sidelines that always has something to say.
-
@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS You won’t see me in here next year. That’s weird.
-
I also will not be buying this next year
