I faced a “Real99” player last night and while it’s cool and all, can maybe someone explain how they determine what type of card to give the player. Here’s a screenshot of his card:

This guy was drafted in 2025, in the 17th round, hasn’t played a single game in pro-ball and is sitting on the IL60. On top of all that, he’s a reliever. So how does SDS determine a players card? Those are great numbers that I’m not sure some of the legends get in this game.

He was tough to hit for me, but fortunately he wasn’t very good when batting and I won 3-0, but still had me scratching my head at his player card.

@SavageSteve74_PSN Seems pretty generous for a guy no one has ever heard of. I wonder if he even throws all those pitches. Doubt it.

Do a YouTube search for Jazz Chisholm’s Real 99.

It may have been a little different because Jazz was on the cover that year, but I’m assuming the process is similar for the other Reals.

Doubtful since he’s a reliever, maybe he “can” throw all those pitches, but who knows. His baseball savant page is blank since he hasn’t thrown at any professional level. Just a head scratcher, not the end of the world.

@SavageSteve74_PSN my guess is he plays a lot of the show and pretty much said a meta pitch mix knowing it was for his 99. If he those all them in real life hats off to him.

Well, he is on the IL60 so I’m sure he has a bunch of time to play, needs to really work on his hitting skills, struck out I think 10 times, had a decent eye but his timing was horrible.
