    Imagine pulling 2 Ohtanis, 3 judges, 3 Ramirez's, etc…. after opening 4,000+ packs? SMH.

Time is more valuable than money.

    Good question.

Was this glitch able to influence the amount of time you might choose to devote to the game? That's a fair question as an answer and deserves an equally fair answer.

It seems to me that if someone plays his own game his own way that does not in any way alter how you play your copy of the game in your way -- with the single exception of online head-to-head competition games. This is why by the way, I condemned the advent of the Lagrassa cheat stadium, despite being the prime voice calling for SDS to preserve the option to modify the foul grounds in custom stadiums, but render such modified stadium ineligible for online play, same as is currently the case when the outfield wall panels are modified.

A person playing MLB The Show can do whatever he or she desires and receive 5 million card packs, and it doesn't diminish your option to earn your own card packs via the same methods you've been using, without any limits. There isn't some finite quantity of these virtual trinkets out there so let's stop acting like someone is stealing card packs from the community.

Such shrill exclamations are not only hyperbole, it frankly reeks of immature ranting, based upon a flawed comprehension of the basic reality of the situation.

Abraham Lincoln summed up best the rancid mentality so many of you here are resorting to. You are angry because someone achieved something. Lincoln said, "Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another, but let him work diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built."

You folks want to ban people for using an exploitable option in the game code, not involving cheat code, while playing a non head-to-head option within DD mode. You aren't mad because they took anything from you. You are all mad because you don't have what they have.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL shut up dude. You are missing the point. People... whomever spent money on the game have every right to be mad at others for getting things for free that they spent money on. Do you have rocks for brains? Quoting Abraham Lincoln to try and make your point. No one is defending sds either. They suck! One has nothing to do with the other.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL counterpoint - if the inflation this seems to have caused holds up, stubs become less valuable and as a result so do the packs (unless, of course, you get lucky and nab something you want to collect instead of a dupe you need to sell to extract any value from) that we earn going forward. This wouldn’t affect the infinite pack glitchers as much (since they already have a lot to sell) as it would the people who chose not to participate or didn’t know. I saw @dolenz_psn posted something to this effect in another thread.

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL Dude, he literally referred to someone exploiting as achieving something. You are wasting your time talking to someone like that.

Cheat all you want, exploit the game and ruin the market, no problem, have fun!! There will be no consequences.

100 packs is $100. People cheated and opened THOUSANDS!

where are the consequences? What about the people who have spent hundreds of hours playing the game correctly? What about the people who gave yall money for packs and cards? Are we morons to yall? Does our game experience mean less than the cheaters?

TLDR: Sds is allowing people to steal what the rest of us had to spend time and money for. Again, zero consequences.

I will never give yall money again.

Game packs are worth absolutely nothing unless someone is dumb enough to actually pay real cash to buy them, which of course is exactly why SDS designed the game as they did -- to encourage fools to pay additional money to trade real money for worthless "stubs" that have only the usefulness to obtain virtual trinkets that are entirely lacking in real world value.

At least you finally wised up and realized the value of your real money. When sufficient people grasp that basic reality, then SDS will have no choice but to actually design a baseball video game that actually presents the game of baseball, vice try to create a virtual SDS-controlled virtual market.

Come on man. I don't buy stubs in this game because I don't care that much. Some people have extra money, work and families so if they want to buy stubs good for them. People can do with their money what they want. It doesn't make them dumb. Time is literally money for some people.

@DemIsE4_XBL I jusymt blocked this guy. Hes either dumb, extremely rude, or trolling either way reading anything he posts is useless.

Youre right tho. I think some people just hate that others have disposable income. I am looking forward to playing nms for the first time. Ill probably buy the game used as well.

Right i dont fault anyone for using real money to buy stubs. Maybe they are parents or work alot and dont have a bunch of time to grind. So the time saved is money well spent for them. But now after all of this c r a p I hope everyone learned their lessons. Not to spend money on this game.

You have it wrong, I broke Envy's power over me when I learned the meaning of the Wizards 8th rule.
I am mad because they without effort on their part completely devalued what I spent a lot of time to earn.

Again, do not try to dovetail economic principles into a situation where there is zero economy present. The "community market" SDS created is a figment. It isn't real. There is zero scarcity. SDS just electronically gins up an unlimited number of these card packs. They are only rare in terms of you as an individual earning them or not earning them.

Inflation and contraction only happens when there is an actual inherent scarcity. Anything that become unlimited becomes valueless. It's like trying to charge for people to breath the air in the atmosphere. It's important of course, but it has no intrinsic value because it is freely available and without limit.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL you know the cards themselves are only of an unlimited supply in theory, right? And that in practice, every card has a fixed number in circulation at any given time?

I doubt that very seriously. I have seen no evidence that there is a defined cap on the number of card packs nor player cards that SDS will create in the virtual world of their game code.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL I said ‘at any given time’ because since people aren’t minting packs instantaneously anymore every copy of each card still has to be acquired from a pack or otherwise earned. That happens one by one (or three by three if you’re unlucky with a premier pack)
