@MarioMendoza935_XBL I don’t think the other mini seasons are bad or not worth it. I just think classic is the most rewarding and you can use any player.

@JenkinMeyer_PSN I don't know that we can speak in absolutes here. I didn't play MLBtheShow for about a half decade. Played '25 for a month last year around the World Series. Picked it up this year because my son is playing baseball and have been having an absolute blast. I expect nothing from those packs but man was I excited when Judge flipped around. I have a long way to go to collect them all but I am having fun playing the game with each new card I get to try and find the cards I enjoy most. I even roped a close friend in that said he would never play. He is also having a blast. I definitely know they have some things that they can improve, but I have really enjoyed my time playing and feel like its a great value for what I spent on the game. I won't speak for everyone, but I am really having fun playing MLBtheShow.

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL yea but everyone has the same odds. Whether the game wants to reward you or screw you. The odds don’t change person to person like it does in random like if you went to the casino.

The point is they’re not “odds” it’s payout expectatancy. They will always match that number
And SDS is pretty good about not volunteering that info on any card. One day you press square to see “odds” next day triangle, all they do is throw up say 1:7
Then a picture of some [censored] topps now card you really don’t want

@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS yes everyone has the same odds as far as 1 and 50. Its just when you get the diamond and the player you get does not have the same odds. The game pre determines it.. not sure if I am explaining it correctly or not. Sorry.

I just hate how blatant SDS is about it between their not fixing bugs or just doing random stuff they don’t even address it at all
Your 99 player that you did collections for, plays the exact same as the other versions
Which leads me to believe there’s maybe 3-4 stats on a player that actually mean anything, the rest are lies and eye candy
Discipline and Pitcher confidence are two hidden things not on cards. A 50 ovr pitcher can shell your 99 batter all day every day
Defensively other than speed nothing matters much, they all play the same because it’s animation locked

Power i can definitely tell the difference between 70 and a 100 Power, speed i can see a difference as well. Contact seems to be hit or miss, because it also depends on a pitchers confidence levels hit per 9s, stamina etc. Vision i dont think anyone knows what vision really does. Power seems to be the most important hitting stat in this game. All the good players, all they ever talk about is power. Power dictates the exit velocity off the bat which is pretty important in this game. I feel like the cards swing maybe the most important thing over stats lmao.

Now tell me the difference between 50 power and 80
There’s not much difference, anything below 80 is garbage- so they crank the stat to make say, have Schwarber hit more home runs

Tony Gwynn is an undesirable hitter. Thats so backwards. The game is now based around home runs or bust, or bunt and run or bust. It’s not baseball it’s horrible

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL idk random odds you could get hot but you also could stay just as cold. It’s like going to a casino asking them to add more aces/face cards in a game of 21. Rather them focus on the bigger issues like fixing the marketplace and put a cap.

If odds were completely random, you would hear about people pulling multiple ohtanis. Find me someone who has pulled multiple ohtanis. You may find one or two people in the entire community. The law of random averages dictates there would be a handful of people that would pull ohtani a few times. You wont find anyone. Because the game knows and will pre determine that you do not pull him twice. Every pack that goes into your inventory already knows exactly what cards are in your packs. Its not random when you open it.

You think the devs you complain about being terrible EVERY DAY have a system that tracks thousands of cards inside hundreds of thousands of players inventories simultaneously? Is that why the servers are bad? Because they are actually SO ADVANCED they are tracking millions of data points from packs every second of the day? You know what man no evidence is needed. That is exactly what is happening.

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL It’s obvious, yet there’s zero evidence to support your opinion… It’s not obvious. You just blindly believe it because you’ve had bad luck. People have pulled Ohtani twice. A guy in here was just talking about it within the last few days. I think he said he also pulled Judge too.
