How did NMS players complete the live collection?

The amount of you that grind mini seasons is mind boggling lmao. You are willing to put yourselves through hours and hours of boredom to complete live series, for some fake virtual cards. I think you guys are the issue and why sds doesnt change. No way should you have to play the same boring thing over and over a 1000 times to progress in a game. But you all do you. I played through the mural mini season twice yesterday and was so over it. The cpu barely even throws you strikes, everything is a dot. You guys are insane. Why does sds need to be creative, when they know you morons will play through mini seasons a million times.
Boring is your impression with miniseasons(nothing wrong with that) but the ones that spam it like playing the MS games and have (at least a little bit)of fun with it.

@PAinPA_PSN yeah to each their own. Thats fine. Still insane. My honest opinion is sds isnt offering enough for people to go online. So thats what's left. But its a problem. At least they did the multi player wheel spin. So in this aspect I cant really blame the offline players for not going online. But I can blame them for allowing zero creativity by doing the same thing over and over.

. So... about 1.3 million stubs. I'm focusing on other collections at this point, as those will be worth more to me than Tulo, Felix and Pujols (and Manny, Dustin, Nettles, etc.). -

Played a lot of mini seasons and got really lucky with the pulls. Didn’t pull Shohei until I had the collection done, so that enabled me to complete the others

It’s a big issue and just goes to show that the game has gone off the rails. If the rewards are so minimal that it requires extreme grinding, cheating, or swiping the credit card then something is very wrong. It’s driving “normal/casual” players away big time.

I guess I'm technically not NMS as I buy the Jackie Robinson bundle thing every year which gives like 5k stubs so that's my strategy lol All joking aside I got some blue diamond luck early on the year (no judge or ohtani) but I pulled witt skubal ketel and a few others and sold them and saved until I could afford shohei first because I figured I'd use Manny, campenella, and eventually pujols more than I'd use any of the al rewards and I flipped bosses and affordable diamonds during flash sales or when new content comes out with packs (like the 84 overall wbc cards that dropped to under 1k and I sold them all for 3-4k ish a couple of weeks later). Things like that added up then I sold multiplayer stuff etc and got judge like a week and change ago to finish off the collection. Despite the hate I did a lot of mini seasons too but did way better than 5k/run. I did a lot of new threads on rookie that gives BIAH packs for striking out 80 I think it is and that's like 5 packs each run I think mixed with the other missions. Now if you're good enough I'd be doing diamond quest for the mural. I've been pretty lucky on that and it was over 30k/run if you get both. The floor is bad though. I usually gamble and face the thing that moves around the board for the 5 packs lol. I usually get lucky and win like 1-0 or 2-1

@TripleH-4481_PSN With all the switch hitters, the live series collection isn’t all that important here in mid May. You could Run a team of all switch hitters that is arguably better without Pujols or Tulo.

@GoozeFn_PSN completely agree. I didn’t finish the NL side when I pulled Ohtani because I didn’t see the value. Beltran took over CF for me last year and never left my lineup. Tulo, Manny, Pujols and Campy wouldn’t be in my lineup right now. It’s weird not having the collection done at this point, but I don’t see the value.

@Thongypu_PSN I bought it too. But it was what 10k stubs? That’s all I’ve spent. Just grinding and selling everything I didn’t need.

Some other tips outside of the effective strategies of flipping and grinding:
- Sell XP and Multiplayer bosses as soon as you get them. Even if you want the card the prices will continue dropping until the end of that XP Inning.
- Do NOT buy any packs in the Shop.
- If you want Live Series, avoid other collections. Unless you are elite at the game, grinding, flipping, you will have to pick a direction to focus on.
- Sell any weekend classic bosses you happen to win and get the card when they are in a Rewind Pack.
- One other disciplined approach you can do, tho this is more effective at the start of the year, but any live series collection cards worth more than say 5k stubs, that you don’t absolutely need to play with, sell for the highest amount and save your stubs to buy during flash sales.
For example, for me my fav player is Jose and love playing with McCutchen, so I kept Ramirez and Skenes. Any other time I got a lucky pull I sold them. This made the difference between getting say Acuna at 20k compared to 40-50k early on. It adds up big time.

9 inning 7 games. I would try 9 and 28 but the first one I tried when NT just came out got stuck on game 11 and ppl report that still happens

I did 28 games because of the rewards in the mini season program. but i see what you're saying. just do the shortest # of games and then keep replaying the mini season after winning the championship.
I'll give it a shot once I'm done w/ my current 28 game season.

I do the 3/7 and those rewards that are repeatable are usually done in two seasons. Plus you get 20 standard and 2 BIAH packs. Every five championships nets you five more BIAH packs. So it does pay off in packs (what you get in those packs is usually turds, but all it takes is one). I usually set a lineup to grind programs too. It gets mind numbing so I usually listen to a podcast. I’m halfway through a medieval podcast series right now.

@LuvMyXBOX_XBL I've been playing all "7 game" mini seasons. I've played the WBC one too many times to count. I mix in the others but always 7 game seasons. In all the other ones, the post season is at least 6 games while the WBC one is always 3 max, so a total of 10 games. I just recently started skipping the 4th pool game as long as I am 3-0 just to get through quicker. Really hoping they put a repeatable Conquest in after the draft like they did last year. That was a stub factory which leads me to think they will NOT do that again though.
