Marketplace bots?
-
I've been trying to complete some of the flashback collections but I noticed whenver I post a price to buy, suddely 2/3 other bids appear for a dollar more than mine. I then delete my bid and bid again increasing the price by 1 and same thing happens, 2-3 other bids come up a dollar more than mine.
Are these real humans doing this really fast or is it bots?
Those are bots, they are on EVERY card

It's bots, despite some here trying to act like they don't exist.
There are people who have too much time on their hands that sit on the marketplace cosplaying as a stockbroker, but these are definitely bots as they're far too quick (and consistent) to be human.

Ridiculous. Outbid by 1 stub with 2 orders instantly no matter what. Delete and it happens again on repeat. Absolutely ruins the market entirely.

It’s bs sds keeps releasing collections that you need to buy 12-15 pack cards to complete while the market is completely infested with bots competing with each other. Turn off the marketplace on the app if that fixes it, we all use it a ton but I’m sure 95%+ of us would sacrafice the app to have a clean market on console. This game is going to be doa for 27 if they just ignore this along with all the other issues

Honestly, it’s probably me. And if so, I’m sorry.

@NotesOfJohn_PSN they definitely exist. They should shut down the app if they can’t control it. As flawed as Madden is their app runs much smoother. They close the app and market will flow so much better.

If you want to see the bots at work, at this very moment you can put a bid in for 57k on Alex Bregman and it will stay at the top. If you delete it you will see 2 bots instantly outbidding each other by one.
I played with it and if I put a bid in for 55k it instantly went to 55,001 and up and up. I tried it again at 55,500 and same thing. It wasn’t until I got to 57,000 that the bots stopped. They are programmed to stop at certain margin points.
I kept doing it to watch the blatant bots usage. I’d delete my bid and watch them go active. Then put it back at 57,000 and then watch all of their bids start deleting.
This is a joke. Others have said this and I agree, I would much rather the marketplace on the app get shut down temporarily and allow SDS time to ban account and make fixes than to watch this happen. Something has to be done.

I'll be honest. I really thought the folks on this forum who are complaining about "bots" were making this up.
I went to Showzone to see if there was anything worth flipping. I haven't done much flipping this year, but I had some time to kill while waiting for my daughter-in-law to finish her first Ironman (she finished - pretty amazing).
I digress... So, I start putting in some orders on some high-margin home run calls, and I'll be damned if every time I put in an order, 5 seconds later a bid came in 1 stub higher. Over and over and over. I just started laughing.
So, I'm now in the "bots exist" camp. Sorry for doubting you.
Now, I'm going to do a little research on crop circles.

It’s more obvious when you don’t go one stub lower or higher. Go five stubs, they are instantly one less. Go six stubs they are instantly one less. Go 132 stubs lower and INSTANTLY it’s one less. Take away all three and all three vanish instantly.
The people working the market want you to believe they are that fast, but they literally can’t hit a fastball and haven’t been able to for 8 years. They are as slow as they are old, and they’re all like 60 and couldn’t spot a AI video if their Medicare depended on it

Lol no this has been happening for years. Gotta remember there are 80k+ people playing thia game. Just post your buy order then wait at least an hour. It'll go through, thats how I got Ohtani when he went to 680k. Posted the order then waited over night.

this is so frustrating. i'm trying to collect and pretty much every card my bid gets outbid. this is really ruining the game for me and I'm an offline gamer, NMS, who likes to collect. total b.s SDS.
