What was the intention of SDS in making catchers useless and allowing everyone to steal?

@DeleteyourTTVBTW_MLBTS first off I almost exclusively play this online only. I don’t have my switch account connected on here for you profile creeps lol. I also said you wouldn’t throw every player out. But a proper catcher will definitely help you throw people out. His comment literally contradicts itself in saying people can’t hit but they can run wild on the bases. I get you are an angry guy who loves to word vomit at people but it’s not impossible to semi control the run game. You aren’t gonna catch every single guy stealing. If Kyle schwarber and Josh naylor can steal bases in real life expect that faster players will be able to do in a video game. It’s just simply impossible that this guys lets every player steal on him rampantly.

@ref479ode_PSN I’m doing even just fine with cornerstone Salvador Perez with diamond fielding mod if u want more of an offensive option. If people “hook slide” I’ve learned to just throw the towel in tho there getting that base wether I like it or not.

I played against a guy like this and I changed my defense becuz of it. But then my defense kept resetting and id have to keep setting up again. Was annoying, so I was like.. im done and I quit lol
Anyone know why my D that I set up kept resetting?

@MadDogTannen777_XBL because you can’t set a default so it resets every ab - I still haven’t turned auto shift off cause I’m scared I’ll forget to take it off of straight up when I need to

Fella, there wasn’t a single thing offensive or misleading about what you said here. You my good sir (as are a great many on this fine forum) are the unfortunate victim of confirmation bias…..yeeea’sah!!!
At some point in the not too distant past, perhaps even during the hastily typed OP (my guess is just before then lol), deep inside the brain of this ordinarily rational person, a little peptide bond appeared. Oh my! Now that this little Faustian chain of amino acids have become linked together, that bias is now rooted into that poor brain like a tick under a sweaty sock after a day of hauling hay. From this point on sir, your most well intentioned, reality confirmed, and ever so slightest contradiction will enter into this conversation grinding machine we know as “the online forum” as a pretty, silky white bunny and will be returned to you in 3-5 revolutions as a slavering, hideous monster lol usually in the form of an insult, slur, or attack on your character, and sometimes, if you’re really lucky, your Mother gets the same honorifics bestowed upon her!!!
The bargain is struck at the very moment the title of such posts are created, be it politics, religion, or even things as trivial as, in the parlance of the wise and venerated Hank Hill, vidya games.

@ryguy034753_XBL you aren’t gonna throw everyone out. But you can still throw players out. There are players with 99 speed and 99 steal ofc you aren’t gonna throw them out all the time
Dude, I hate to be rude, but you are arguing for no reason.
People can get a perfect jump every time and they manipulate the base running and fielding mechanics if they get caught in a pitch out by using the freeze mechanic and going to 2nd if you throw behind the runner or going back to first if you throw down to second.
If you don’t have an issue with this at all, than I am speechless.
There is also an animation if a guy is leading off 2nd and you pick him off. Runner just steals to 3rd (doesn't even try to get back) and my ss caught the ball and got the animation to bend down and tag the runner (who is already halfway to 3rd). This must be some known glitch animation to exploit.
