It's not lack of content it's lack of content substance

I've seen a lot of threads talking about lack of content this year for offline players. I've been complaining about it too. Yesterday made me realize it's not really a lack of content but rather how little substance the programs have. Yesterday's Mural program and Spotlight program dropped at 3pm and by 5pm they were completed and that included multiple pauses and a break to make a plate of Nachos.
I finished the Mural moments and played 3 Mini Season games and both programs were done. The XP earned was pathetically minimal. The conquest maps are incredibly short and TA was complete by the end of XP program 1.
I've mentioned before I was playing a lot and to complete all these programs, mini seasons, conquest maps, showdowns, and Diamond Quests only to still fall way short on XP program 2 was ridiculous. Last year I skipped Diamond Quest and most mini seasons and still easily completed the XP programs. SDS is really mailing it in this year.....

Is all you’re looking at programs? Then yes. I guess if you’re only worried about one aspect of the game, substance will seem slim.
But, they released a new mini season and conquest map with the Murals program. And there’s NO way you finished those within 2 hours.
And sure, maybe I’m not as worried about it as others seem to be, but I just don’t get the content/substance complaints.
I’ve said before that I’m old enough to remember that for the same price we paid to get the Show this year, we paid to get sports games back in the 90’s, and what you got… you got…
The number one thing SDS needs to fix before they worry about any of these content complaints is the bugs. All of the content in the world is going to mask some of the glaring issues that they have right now.

I finished the Mural Program and Spotlight program in 2 hrs. The conquest map will only take a couple of hours. Programs used to take a few days to complete not a few hours but if you look at my post again I mentioned how I've completed pretty much everything up until yesterday's release and you barely make progress in the XP program. Maps are short, the programs weak and easy goals, and as an offline player there just isn't enough to do to earn the XP needed to complete the program.

@Ledfoot_19_PSN I too have gravitated toward offline play more over the last few years. I still play online games but nothing like I once did. I have completed everything they have to offer except Moonshot Moustakas event program and the new mini season. I agree that it seems to take quite a while to get through the XP path. I came up 20k short on the 2nd inning.

Bro it takes most of us a few days to finish it. Conquest, mini seasons, diamond quest, events. What are you talking about two hours. You did not finish all of those in two hours, Shut up. Another point less non helpful post. Sds needs to fix all the bugs first before hearing some nerd lie about completing all of this in two hours. There are valid complaints on these forums? Then there is c r a p like this. Get a job, if you have that much free time.

I miss the days where we got points towards a program after finishing a Conquest map.

I didn’t finish the 1st inning path. Got nowhere close to the 2nd inning. I finished every offline program with many runs thru the WBC mini season in each season.
I’m definitely keeping an eye on the 3rd inning progress. Not a happy offline only playing camper so far this year.
One adjustment I’ve made is to play 9 inning mini season games, instead of 3 innings. We will see if that makes a difference.

@TheGoaler_PSN it’s funny cause those days were just two months ago - all the WBC pool play maps gave you stars for doing the conquest (though, of course, those programs had their own formatting issues)

Go back and read my post before you attack me. Reading comprehension is important if you're gonna keyboard warrior me....I said I did the Mural Program and the Spotlight program in 2 hrs. I then proceeded to say how rhe programs are very short and the requirements quickly done. Conquest maps are short and can be completed in a few hours. I've played this game for years and never fell short of the XP programs. I am doing everything they release for offline and still fell well short last XP program. I don't think it's lack of content I think it's lack of depth in the content. I accept your apology.

I mean I can think of 2 words lacking in this game that starts with c s and it’s not content shortage but that kinda stuff is rare nowadays it’s more of a surprise when u see it not a expectation…

The bugs are ridiculous, especially ones that have existed over multiple releases. I would argue though that constantly ignoring the bugs and this years lack of effort put into the content, could be argued together as a real [censored] job by SDS. The lack of GAF is blatantly obvious this year.

Yes, programs and cards are all very generic now, sadly.
Each program is largely the same with generic challenges on repeat, meanwhile we have about three players types that they just tweak slightly.
How many fast, high contact zero pop infielders have we had in the last few weeks?
It's boring and frankly, lazy.

The worst things IMO are the 2-4 times less xp for programs, ms, conquest and vsCPU and the slow [censored] running out of the box by my team. The computer seems to have no problem. There's no way Witt actually gets thrown out at first on a booted/bobbled ball.
