20 Card Max
-
@Gone-Viral_XBL I haven’t seen one person that defended sds about this but go off
-
Today's RU intentionally didn't boost the values of obvious candidates for price increases.
While I don't doubt that really, I would still want to look at a few of those players on a case by case basis because too often players just look at stats like ERA which doesn't count for anything or they look at batting average overall or HR total without looking at the Lefty Righty splits that the attributes are based on.
Again, we all know that they do what they do selectively. We don't need to look beyond the 90 plus overall players that they ignored rather than downgrade today.
-
@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS you must have missed early release weekend around here.
IF SDS wanted to fix the market with the 20 card cap, they should have kept Judge and Ohtani capped as well. The fact that they let those two cards, with a .008 drop rate, go uncapped, while also capping the most consistent way to earn stubs in quantity shows you what they truly wanted. Not a healthy market for the consumer, a healthy market for the company.
They, SDS, have also sent employees as moles into investment discords to keep tabs on the prevailing advice. So when we only see 3 diamonds this update it shouldn’t surprise anyone.
-
@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN
never thought of that. Good call! -
@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS Look. Up. That's what 20% of this thread is: people with their heads in the sand about the blatant SDS heel turn.
-
@LHUBison58_XBL ngl you spitting facts, and the last part of your statement I know for a fact is true
-
They, SDS, have also sent employees as moles into investment discords to keep tabs on the prevailing advice.
Question why would they need to do this?
They have access to the market and everyone's account. They could probably just run a query to see which cards the most players are holding 20 of.
Also, there are investment discords for this game?
-
@Dolenz you’d be surprised
-
@Dolenz_PSN as @good-talk-bud_xbl can attest it’s real. There is legitimate proof. You can choose to believe it, and like Didymous, I too had to see the holes in his hands, but having seen it I can tell you it’s true.
SDS has been real scummy this year.
-
@LHUBison58_XBL It’s painfully clear they made decisions based on how people were investing whether it’s moles or based on looking at the numbers. People started investing in Seiya late because of the injury, so there were less dupes on him. Lots of people sold on Sanchez because it looked like he might go down before his last start and was still questionable after it. Similarly, Pages was a sell until the 3 HR game and even then people thought it wouldn’t count. The obvious and deserving guys, Langliers, Olson, Hoerner and Elly, stood to give people the most profit, so they greedily held them back. Despicable.

I have never doubted that SDS plays games with the ratings. to keep them within specific ranges but I am curious for these specific players are we saying that SDS shorted them upgrades to specific attributes? If so what ones?
Remembering of course that the updates are adjustments to the the starting value and are not simply meant to replace the starting value

In the investment discord we have this down to as near a science as you can get. I’m not sharing details about what but they were in line for bumps in areas that should have boosted them to diamonds.
-
Some of yall really need to seek counseling lol

Icarus
I would be shocked if SDS intent was to allow this level of nearly risk free, low effort stub printing.
They could have handled it a lot better (with actual honest communication) and maybe not do it In a year where the game is in such a bad state though.
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS What’s the point of doing a live series then? What’s the point of roster updates?
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS what about this method is wrong? We watch games, track performance, and study correlation between irl performance and ratings over time in DD. That’s next level engagement. No bots, no computer programs, just a bunch of dudes pulling information and collaborating. Anyone can do it. I didn’t see anywhere in TOS that paying attention to the game irl and their own actions was a violation.
SDS has 1. Snuck a nerf in with the limit
2. Silenced or banned anyone who asks about it
3.Has infiltrated community discords and won’t acknowledge they have.
4. Did a poor update for RU1. Maybe intentional, maybe they are just doing what they have done all year. Apathy. I don’t think anyone knows for certain. I tend to lean apathy.None of this has been communicated well or it has been done in stealth. Either way they have burned a lot of trust/goodwill.
Throw the bots and cheating scandal in and their launching and communication on an app nobody asked for and it appears they don’t care about anything but profit this year. Which is their prerogative, but it was also what made them different than EA and 2K.
Not to mention the most unattainable card in the game is also a unplayable sack of dog turds.
-
I never said it was against TOS. I just very seriously doubt SDS intended it as a way to make millions of stubs for little effort/risk.
I am in agreement with you that they handled it about as poorly as possible and they picked the worst possible year to do it.
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS brother these loons never wanna hear they are half right. You either unequivocally take their words as bond or risk whatever backlash comes your way.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN exactly don't call them roster updates. Call them whatever updates we feel like doing to make sure we arnt giving out free stubs.
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS Whether they deliberately created it for that purpose or not, they are repeatedly and deceptively making it harder to earn stubs and ruining the experience in the process.
