On throwing people out

Was listening to the Rays broadcast just now talk about throwing people out on steal attempts and they mentioned that now throws to second base are supposed to go to the right side of the bag so the tag can go straight down.
We know at this point that MLB The Show catchers do not do this - they still throw right at second base - so curious if they’ll ever reprogram that
