Bring Back Old Strike Zone
-
@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN the key is to try and not get the ball in the zone but just glance the zone. mistakes will happen but live on the black and u should be fine.
Probably doesnt help that I use Meter pitching.

tear4eddy_PSN it’s not the same. And I wasn’t complaining. It really doesn’t make sense to say they shrunk something and say it’s only a visual change. If you change the size it’s more than just a visual.

It’s literally just a visual change. The same balls are being called balls and the same strikes are being called strikes. Now the strike zone just actually lineups to what was already being called.
-
@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS It’s not more than a visual change. The same pitches that were balls are balls and the same pitches that were strikes are still strikes.

What exactly do you think changed that isn’t visual?
-
@GoozeFn_PSN the actual itself is smaller and disappears. You can’t say the same pitches that were balls are balls or vice versa. Almost every ball is now a strike. It has also changed the dynamic of gameplay On both hitting and pitching. It’s has been a good change tbh. I have adapted but to say it’s just a visual change is just ridiculous.
-
It is LITERALLY just a visual change. There’s not even an argument to have about it. Plus, the strike zone always disappeared as the pitch was being thrown. This was before the change too.
I’m not sure where you’re getting the “nearly every ball is a strike” from. I have plenty of balls thrown to me. In fact, since the new strike zone, I’ve probably doubled the amount of walks I’ve had.
-
@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS if every pitch is a strike it sounds like u have a chase problem. just because they changed the size of the box doesn’t mean everything is a strike…
-
@Onix_Savage22_PSN now where did I say every pitch was a strike. Maybe is was lost in the context of my actual comment. But I was was talking solely about borer pitches only. Not that every individual pitch is a stike.
-
@JDHalfrack_PSN I see some of yall are very literal.
-
@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS my apologies just skimmed over it while signing free agents in my franchise

-
@Onix_Savage22_PSN ain’t no problem brother
-
@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS They literally told us it’s the exact same strike zone. The only thing that changed is the box which is smaller.
-
It has made me better against the inside Cutter.
The Splitter is still my Kryptonite, though. I despise that pitch, lol. At least 'against.'
Pitching-wise, it's great!Noted.
-
@allday9128_PSN I mean it’s more than just a visual change lol the box disappears and no you have to protect more. I have gotten used to it but it’s more than just a visual change.
Its not any more than that. They said in the stream when it was implemented, that it was just a visual change.
Does it take some time to get used to a pitch that is barley touching the strike zone being called a strike in DD? Yeah it does after seeing pitches half way in the zone get called balls for so long. But that pitch that was half way in the zone before and called a ball is still called a ball now.
-
It makes your pitching better but demoralized your hitting with easy out pitches on the corner but hey that was their remedy, poor one at that. Got too use to either inside or outside pitches barely touching being called balls. Takes guts to take those pitches with two strikes now
