As an offline player, I get the hint

@LuvMyXBOX_XBL I said a generation was soft. Or implied weak minded for not wanting to play online. I was not name calling anyone in particular using derogatory words. Learn the difference. Unless weak minded is considered derogatory now.. Learn how to have a conversation without getting [censored] hurt and resorting to name calling and using words like that. Now go away, go play the cpu now. Dont forget to bring your high fastballs and sliders to strike out the cpu everytime lol

I'm seeing a lot of posts in here arguing about this. As someone who has played this game annually I can say the offline content is less this year. It's definitely shorter and faster to complete which really gives the feel of nothing to do. People accusing others of being addicted or stupid, who are you to tell anyone what they enjoy. I like playing the game in general have something to grind towards makes it more fun. I'd be curious to know who spends more money on stubs the offline or online player. Seeing how the game prioritizes online play could be a hint but I have no idea.

@DrBear100_PSN
now thats funny. I think alot of us do at this point. -
I have always tried to played both against the CPU and other players in DD. I have never been a fan of ranked or BR but I did like to play events. The way they structured events this year, I haven't played a single game online. I typically don't have much time to play Friday-Sunday evening because I am typically not home. The times I do have to play I do mini seasons or conquest stuff. Them not letting events run all week has kept me from playing online and just doing CPU based games and even playing a couple days a week in the evenings I am running out of stuff to do. So really poor decision making on content and how its handled this year.

moving more towards PvE
Coop PvE to boot. Best example I've got is The Division, that game was epic when played in a group.
The MMORPGs that try to be PvP first tend to fail
Look at the state CoD is in...DMZ was originally designed to be PvE version of Warzone, more or less. They made in PvPvE instead of private game lobbies (which worked for Zombies) and it basically killed the mode.
I don't think many of us would be paying for swimsuit Babe Ruth
Everyone wants to see a Babe in a bikini. Duh.

I’ve said it a thousand times but it’s to do with matchmaking.
If they applied their ranked matchmaking to all methods of online play it would supercharge peoples interest in say, events or BR
When someone does dip their toe into online play - Events- they’re immediately facing the turds and World Series players and trolls because the ranking resets every 2 games.
Whereas in ranked you play according to your rank.
They’d get a ton more online players if they’d match make better and someone’s first time in an online game - events because it’s 3 innings - they don’t get trounced 15-0 in the first inning
If they would do simple easy things they’d make the game competitive and fun.
I mean [censored] - they could matchmake based of easy stuff like avg or ERA and let those people play against those people.
Then bots would play bots, WS would play against WS, and casuals play casuals. Even taking in those 2 simple criteria
Plus you’d weed out cheaters really fast if they’d go against each other

So I finished the May Spotlight, Sal Perez program, and new Conquest to get Javi Baez as an offline player. Now what?

That’s up to you. What’s your goal?
If you want collections, grind miniseasons. The best repeatable rewards we’ve had in a long time.
If you want to build PxP, play CPU games (although many seasons works for that as well, but sometimes you want to use certain cards to get better packs).
If you want stubs, do DQ.
If you just want to play, do any of it.
And the beauty of it is that no matter what option you choose, you’re gaining XP along the way!
