Yeah I think it’s pretty clear to anyone that has 2 eyes and a functioning brain that they tighten the screws shortly after launch to get people to pump money into the game by keeping diamonds artificially scarce.
Then when nobody cares anymore they loosen the reins so the percentages all look legit by the end of the year. That way if they are investigated things look legit while they maximize their stub sales.
It’s a sound business strategy but extremely scummy. Especially considering we are talking about virtual baseball cards on a video game with no real value. Very few people actually make money by being good at the game and/or having all the best cards. Most of us just play to relax and have fun.
Would be nice if SDS actually cared about that instead of pure profit. Seems like it’s been a steady shift ever since they rolled out to xbox and switch. Game was much more player friendly when it was exclusive to PlayStation.

@JenkinMeyer_PSN most everyone is talking about the last few weeks getting very few diamonds out of packs. This seems to be more than just noise and bad luck. Ill keep my tin foil hat on proud.
Most everyone? Or the same 5 people who seem to complain about everything in the game, but still continue to play it?

I got 3 low diamonds out of 11 BiaH and around 20 regular packs. Not great, but definitely not too bad. I'm not complaining.

Fair enough and point taken. I am a part of the 5 people who complain because I like the game and want it to be better. Posting on Internet forums for said game should be the place to air the dirty laundry. Perhaps not with the frequency that I do.

I blew my pack-luck load early this year...first two weeks I hit a fair amount of mid tier to gatekeepers (Betts x 2, Freeman, Glasnow x 2 Diaz, Wilson, Wheeler, Soto) then that was it until last night when I got Kurtz for the A's.
Other than Nicky K that's been it since the end of March

@TripleH-4481_PSN that is exactly what they do! Yes. What you just said is what ive said on previous posts. They absolutely mess with it. Tighten and loosen the odds throughout the year.

@JenkinMeyer_PSN That’s what Internet forums are for. I don’t have a problem with people venting about pack luck, but unsubstantiated claims of them cooking pack odds is silly to me. I’ve had unbelievable pack luck this year. That’s how packs work.

@GoozeFn_PSN how can you say they are not with such certainty? Because they post the odds? OK they post the odds and can get sued etc etc.. those odds are for the life of the game cycle. They can certainty adjust them throughout the game cycle as long as at the end they are close. You are so certain a company that false advertises and lies about pci shrinkage amongst other things etc etc.. is not doing something like this. Or omitting things like cheating, that they have known about for a few years now and we all had to find out through a U tuber. Corporations will do whatever they can for their bottom line, including omitting and lying. I can assure you fudging pack odds here and there.. they wouldn't think twice about.

You're right this is the place air grievances with the game. But the way some of you go about it is the issue. You guys come on here name calling and posting your conspiracy theories, about how SDS is just sitting in a room pushing buttons to screw you over.
Whenever you guys have an actual valid complaint(and this pack odds one ain't it) the way you guys go about it and how you come off isn't gonna solve the problem. Its gonna get it ignored.

I was getting a diamond about every third Ballin' pack before season 2 began. Nothing Earth shattering, but I did get Tarik Skubal's live card twice. As I've been getting Jolt players out of TA the past few weeks, I've gotten a ton of Ballin' packs and just one diamond out of those - Oscar Charleston.

@Ditka06_MLBTS I think it’s a lot more reasonable to believe they aren’t risking millions to tinker with pack odds than believing something is happening with zero evidence. Also, there’s a thread in the general topics with a pack study that aligns with the pack odds. You know, actual evidence. There’s a lot of problems with this game. Pack odds aren’t one of them.

The odds are a lie guys because from what I remember, the odds for diamonds in standard packs were 1:40 in 25, now they 1:50 in 26 which is unfair. Also doesn't help that they are rolling out programs that only online players can access and have online player missions.

Also I heard that this isn't suppose to happen and is illegal especially cuz of it probably showing wrong odds on purpose.

@Christuffer9917_PSN They start at 1:50 every year. Sometimes they make the odds better later in the year. Not sure if they did last year. They were 100% 1:50 at the start of the year.
