Here are MLB's Players Of The Month - Start the Lightning speculation and arguments.
-
@On_a_Power_Trip_PSN yeah I’m gonna try flipping to get some more stubs tonight but it looks like margins are closing in anticipation for it.
-
I hope its yordan, but at the same time I dont think they card would be any better than his LS because his LS is always playing way up with inside edge and most people have him p5.
Weird you mentioned this as I saw someome, on FB, post that the LS Aroldis Chapman, is actually better attributes wise than his new Cityscapes card.
-
@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN it’s an apples-to-oranges comparison for Chapman cause that’s including Inside Edge boosts which won’t always be there + parallel boosts and stuff. Also I haven’t faced him but I’d guess the control difference matters a whole lot.
-
@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN how???
-
Mason Miller should get the first ever 100 card with 125 everything and a special edition green emerald icon.
-
@MarioMendoza935_XBL saving that one for the day they get Barry’s rights.

-
As much as I want it to be Yordan; I dont think it will be him.
A 92 Yordan could make his LS drop in price, unless it stays high because its a potential Gatekeeper, and while that would benefit me; it wont benefit their (SDS) pockets.
I'm thinking Rice or that switch-hitter that has been Supercharged.
-
@Dolenz_PSN I agree. I think Walker is gonna get the shaft!

I expect the Lightning Player to come from the list above, but one guy not on the list that was arguably the hottest hitter in baseball in April is Josh Jung. A triple slash of .388/.457/.675 with 4 HR, 11 2B, and 15 RBI puts him up there with the best in baseball over the month of April.
I still think Alvarez gets the nod simply because his flashy stats look a lot better (9 HR, 21 RBI) and his triple slash is still elite at .351/.443/.701, but I do hope SDS gives Jung his flowers soon.
-
@SoshJander_MLBTS I mean a ideal day for me would be varland Soriano Walker Alvarez Vargas and jung all get cards they all have earned it and for 5 out of these 6 I highly doubt they duplicate this month and get another chance. If one gets skipped as much as this hurts to say as a big air Yordan guy it should be him and he could get another card anytime and it would make sense. Spotlight is supposed to be to highlight people he may not get another chance at meta cards. If Yordan does get a card today tho it’s immediately turns into the best hitter in the game not counting the 3 99s.

Yeah, I looked at the April stats the other day and after not being on my radar all month suddenly Jung is right up there
