How Bad is Cheating?

We all just want a solid, healthy game, that feels rewarding and is enjoyable to play. All of these issues make that harder to accomplish which is why a lot of us, myself included, are really frustrated with the way they are handling themselves.

I'm beyond angry after watching the yfk video. It's dawned on me that I not only purchased, but have further invested in through stub store purchases, a defective product ripe with cheaters. I'm now scrolling my memory of games over the past month realizing that so many times I was being cheated. Games where I would have a lead against an opponent who seemingly wasn't a great batter, only to appear like they handed the controllor over to a pro and smacked many perfect/perfect HR's in a row to take the victory in the late innings.
There are two troubling aspects to SDS's recent cheating warning. First, if they had much ability to police this they would've already been doing it. It's now clear this has been going on or a long time (which they've known) and it's only reached this point because of the proof people like yfk has offered. Second, they explicitly say they rely on community reports. We are WAY past the point of "community reporting" our way out of this. THIS IS SDS's issue to fix, not the customer who in good faith purchased a product they had been told was going to be fair, healthy, balanced, etc. I don't even want to get on anymore, because what's the point? Grind mini seasons when someone else just had a bot do it all night long? Play ranked when you have a good probability of someone using software to crush you? No thanks

@abulargent_MLBTS agreed. Seriously what's the point of playing anymore? Knowing hundreds if not thousands are using a bot to grind, makes me not want to do it, knowing I have a high likelihood of running into a cheater now when I play online. Why would I continue to play this game. If I continue playing im just hoping I dont run into a cheater now. This is just toxic.

That’s my biggest issue. Lack of transparency and lack of a sense of urgency. It’s clear a lot of us are much more passionate about the welfare of this game than they are.

I've played a good bit and seen maybe 4-5 blatant cheaters. If someone is actually decent at the game and toggling you'll never see it as a human. SDS needs to track PCI movement for shortest-possible-pathing to the ball, repeated PCI placement relative to the ball, shadow swing/take discipline, etc. Or better yet just disable cloud play online, that solves 90% of it and then we're basically just back to Zen scumbags.

Simple fix if you’re an OG PlayStation player. Turn off cross play. The majority of cheating in online play from all games come from other consoles/PC as it’s hard to mod anything on PlayStation.

This just isn’t correct for this iteration of the cheat, it’s both PS and Xbox that use it because of cloud gaming. They remote play from a PC and use mods from there.

If you know anything about this place you already have your answer. A lot of people are who are extremely confident are wrong.
Tens of thousands of people are cheating. You can cheat on any platform
Mostly in BR and Events not ranked. There is no reason to cheat in ranked. Anyone cheating in ranked was in WS weeks ago to sell the rewards for max not with a week left to sell them for the least amount possible. They are so far up the leaderboard most people won’t ever face them outside of the 1000 ranked level. The absolute last place anyone who is cheating is going to be is in the 400s. The people who think people in the 400s are cheating are the same ones that have needed someone to be wrong with their connection, game, monitor, system, area code, or opponents internet for years. 5 wins gets you to the 400s they are past that in an hour.A lot of the them are using it offline to farm packs/stubs
You could probably play ranked to WS and not face a single one. They are already in the 1000s for Weekend Classic rewards.

Just stating facts for me, on ps5, in the 250-488 range of play
But in events it’s entirely different
Sorry if I misspoke but I’d surmise ps5 would be way less likely to be cheated on in my experience
