This may be the worst gameplay issue since outfielders not locking onto fly balls in early 20. Getting a double with a non-90 speed guys at most parks is impossible right now (especially in moments). This makes all extra base hit moments/missions effectively hit a home run ones.

I definitely noticed this in the Travis Haffner moments. He seemed to “walk” out of batters box and then speed up (for him, at least) a couple of feet up the first base line.

@capardo_XBL I’ve started paying attention more to this.
Guys are so slow getting out of the box that balls in gaps/down the lines are getting fielded before your runner even gets to first base. Once again, SDS doesn’t play test anything before release.

CPU runners have no problem tho

Especially in moments or showdowns the CPU fielders definitely move faster and have cannons for arms.

I will say CPU fielders actually miss dives now and the ball gets behind them, I've gotten a few triples with guys like Tellez

Does anyone know if they plan on fixing this slow running out of the box? I actually really like a lot of the new stuff, but this is insane. Hitting balls in the gap in RTTS, but only getting singles because slow start animation.

Yeah, i had to replay one where Elly De La Cruz was thrown out at first after a ball ricocheted to third off the pitcher.
I was baffled as he should normally do that comfortably, but I watched the replay a few times and it took him seven steps to rise above a jog.
Utterly ridiculous and not at all accurate.

@iBonafideScrub__PSN Is this why it’s so hard to get doubles this year? I was wondering why I’m constantly getting thrown out at 2B even with guys that have decent speed.
