As an offline player this is the biggest issue to me. Hearing this mini season auto grind bs makes me want to walk away for good. Unless SDS starts juicing packs and XP big time I’m just about done. Really sucks.

@mietha_PSN yeah I know what you're saying. I'm still just very much confused on the whole thing. These people paid $100 for the game, $200 to join a cheater group, and $30 month to not actually play the game. In what world, does that make sense?
I think people are focusing too much on the mp part. Yes, it definitely ruins the online experience but the mini seasons part is massive. From my understanding you could run it, go to bed and wake up with probably at least 50 packs. If you pull 2 Ohtani's haven't you pretty much paid for everything for the year or am I missing something?
This is exactly the intention behind the video, sell that exact idea…

@Dodgers_1890_PSN Some people have more money than sense. Has nothing to do with ROI. There isn't any. It's so they can brag to their friends that they "made" world series. Same concept as executives hiring high-end escorts to be seen with them. Everyone knows it's BS, but this somehow makes them feel like bigger/better people. At its root, I suppose it's just a form of self delusion. The one caveat to that is that having it run MS non-stop would certainly get you WAY more stub than using that money to buy stubs from SDS. The cheat bots are VERY likely the main reason Ohtani costs 700k+.

@DemIsE4_XBL Remember, he literally said in the video "if you have 700 packs". I don't that that was a number pulled out of thin air. I think people are MASSIVELY underestimating the impact the MS part is having. The MP part is more annoying, to individuals, and more visible, but the MS part is what is destroying the game. But hey, at least the cheaters will get the card from MS that requires you to play on All-Sta while the ones that don't cheat but aren't good enough can't, so that's super awesome. /s

To me if a streamer knows the identity of the guy behind this and doesn’t reveal him, he should be banned as well as a co conspirator.

@icebergslim7669_PSN idk man I wouldn’t blow up a sketchy millionaires cheating scandal to be fair to Kyle he probably wouldn’t like what would come his way. But I’m also a rly bad overthinker so this is just my pov I wish he would so we could end this but i get why he’s not.

Yeah i get that part, makes sense, i wouldn’t put my family in danger over a videogame, just hoping someone stops this guy, cause it ruins it for a lot of people

The guy running the cheat had better be living out of the US with all the money he earned in offshore accounts. This is big money just on napkin math, 40k users at $200 a piece is $8M, plus another $1.2M per month, yeah Sony will come after you with that kind of money. They know he’s on discord, they’ll subpoena his account, lock up his payment methods, track those to his bank accounts, put holds on those. Even if he transferred to crypto, they’ll flag his account and trace the money. YFK doesn’t need to give up the name, I guarantee they’ve already got it.

If he doesn't live in a country that disregards requests for extradition, then I agree he's in serious trouble and good for him. Much as I hate the way SDS treats us as customers, I agree with them unleashing their legal department to go after these dirtbags with all the resources available to them.
If he does live in one of the civilized nations of the world, then he's in serious trouble. DIscord cannot avoid a subpoena and content once posted in a web forum is forever even if the individual later "deletes" it. Trust me, the post isn't deleted. Instead, it is merely transferred to another location where the web forum staff can still see it.

Bans take a bit of time, and we won’t know they’re dropping them until people complain. Give it a few days to a week and I’m betting we will start seeing posts on social about people getting unfairly banned. They have to do due diligence to protect themselves first. With the way this software works, it’s not necessarily an easy detect, so they’re probably looking at game history and evaluating.

@SavageSteve74_PSN Bans will do exactly jack and ****. If they can't find a way to stop the software from working, all bans will do is change which accounts are cheating, not the number of cheaters.

Correct, bans won’t do much, but they’ll go after the developer. He got greedy and that’s going to cost him. Doesn’t mean someone else won’t come up with the same software and do it all over again, but once they know how the cheat works, they can start counter programming, and the cat and mouse goes on.
For the offline stuff, it’ll become a small pain for us with probably more click through stuff required in a random fashion to counter any sort of automated script until they figure out a permanent solution.
