@TheJeweledLotus_PSN but the strike zone is also smaller. So really nothing has changed. Those pitches barely touching the zone were probably strikes with the bigger zone anyway.

@TheJeweledLotus_PSN the actual problem was the game conditioning us to take those pitches imo. just going to have to get used to not playing for the walk cause it’s not even like the zone actually expanded, but more actual strikes will be thrown (or called) regardless

@eatyum_PSN it’s just going to be a bit of an adjustment period. The advantage has def swung to the pitcher in a big way now. Need shrinkage out more than ever to balance the scales

@TheJeweledLotus_PSN Before today it was so unbalanced, hitting was everything. I don't care if it's swung a bit towards pitchers now.

Its not really same as real life - its now a completely perfect zone, where the umps never make mistakes. That's very unlike real life.

I'm getting called out on pitches that are clearly not strikes now. I have ABS off. Are they forcing players to use that now?
What have they done? This is crazy. Here is the first occurrence. It happened 4 more times, including twice in one AB.

I also have never had the 'lineup freeze' until today.

The strike zone got a lot bigger… I think it’s going to favor pitchers immensely and force batters to swing at far more pitches. I can’t imagine how difficult this is for big league hitters. If the seams of the ball touch the zone, like just over the low outside corner, it’s a strike… on a virtually unhittable pitch. I think it’s going to be catastrophic for this game.

smaller zone, now balls that barely touch anywhere in zone are strikes, before they were balls. it's the same, just represented differently.

@eatyum_PSN this game shouldn’t reflect real life in this aspect. This game should always lean a little more toward the hitter than the pitcher.

I would like it more if it was real abs have the box disappear after the pitch is thrown and give the option for a challenge. Only get 2 like abs u right u keep them I think it would be way more fun.

@Onix_Savage22_PSN it would! they’d rather keep trying to gaslight us into thinking the umps are actually perfect tho

I had some homeruns today that just felt so weird on pitches outside the zone. Like Santander turned on a sweeper that was a touch inside perfect perfect and it flew it’s just weird being rewarded for swinging outside the box. Even tho yes I get it was just a visual change I know somebody is gonna say the game still plays the same it just looks different it still feels weird tho hitting what we used to know as balls for homeruns.

The box sure doesn’t look a full baseball width narrower and shorter.

@a761506_MLBTS we disagree there - I was pretty shocked by how small it looked when I first played today

@Onix_Savage22_PSN I mean hey, good swings, right? It’s not like you did that with a pitch in the dirt or anything (guessing it almost clipped the zone)
