Let me get this straight, they are gonna put a 20 card limit at launch and limit people who flip on the market but some people have been using a bot that runs mini seasons for them, making millions of stubs? From what I’ve seen no one has been banned using that specific bot type, maybe leave the people investing alone and focus on the bots that are actually ruining the game and the economy of mlb the show.

My only question is how would you know. Do you follow cheaters on social media? Do they post freely about their cheating and banning on reddit?
I assume that this is harder to detect than people seem to think. Is it as simple as introducing code into the game to detect it? If so, would that break any other aspect of the game in the process? Do they make their best judgement based on game history? If so are we okay with some collateral damage like what happened when people were restricted from the market using the app.
It is absolutely in SDS' court to do something about this but I think people have unrealistic expectations on how easy it is to detect and how it can be resolved that won't simply be circumvented by cheaters in another week or two.

Just because SDS isnt informing you by email every time someone gets banned doesnt mean no one is getting banned.
Posts like this always make me laugh. "Person A is cheating and nothing happens to them!!". Like Dolenz said, how the hell would you even know?

There's a crowd of people who really like the flipping and investing gameplay. It feels like they'd rather play a strategy game called Baseball Card Stock Market rather than baseball...I don't really get that, but whatever floats their boat.
The only thing is - market investing and trading is kind of a thing that's designed for bots to do. Like, the whole idea feels like it's designed for a program to be written to min-max and make decisions...so it's a little weird to me if you complain about that happening.

Because Last I seen there’s over 40k people in the discord that YFK mentioned in his video and almost no one has been banned from the discord. The guy who’s talking to Kyle has been using the mini season bot for weeks lol. I swear some of y’all are SDS employees on alts. My point is even with nba 2k having a cheating problem this year SDS did nothing this year to combat it and were more focused on nerfing NMS and trying to increase pack sales rather than focus on more important things. Like having literally any anti cheat at all for when the game launched.

@Dolenz_PSN there’s a discord with 40k members that YKF, they are mostly known for nba but now do mlb cheats. Supposedly they haven’t been getting banned at all, via from what Kyle said from what I’ve heard myself. Which is frustrating if true, because it shows with all the different cheats they provide for multiple game modes in DD that SDS has next to no working anti cheat atm

@Good-Talk-Bud_XBL no it’s on us to report them… I mean this isn’t word for word but there jus getting slap on the wrist after slap on the wrist in the most recent game update if u go look on the app it said they are aware of the problem but want the help of the community reporting these players. I’ve been reporting a lot more sense any suspicion I have I just report knowing there’s as many as there are I’m not taking the slightest sign to lightly…

@Onix_Savage22_PSN well we will see if things change, but when Their biggest content creator makes a video about how bad the cheating and poorly SDS has combated it so far, then it’s probably a fairly big problem atm

@Good-Talk-Bud_XBL I wouldn’t get ur hopes up for this to be fixed anytime soon looks like more aless if the community wasn’t putting up such a big fight this would already be swept under the rug. Mad respect for Kyle tho speaking up on this cause a lot of content creators wouldn’t do this.

@Onix_Savage22_PSN oh 100% you are right. They already swept the changes they made before launch like 20 card cap under the rug even though many people were mad about it. It’s astonishing how good SDS is at ignoring any of the big complaints from the community lol. Like you said only reason they gonna do anything about this is YFK made a vid calling it out that almost has 100k views already

"Durrrr you must work for SDS" is what idiots say when they have nothing to say. No i dont live on Discord and no i dont concern myself with actual employees of SDS doing their jobs. I dont dig through forums to make sure people are being reprimanded for beating you in a video game or skirting the system. Its not that important to me. I play the game. I win, i lose....and i move on. Try it sometime.

All we need to know is they focused on putting out a mobile baseball game when they knew all of this was going on. What does that tell you guys? They dont care. Its all about the money. Continue to enjoy the game. Nothing will get fixed. If the cheating gets bad enough most of us will just stop buying and playing. Dont forget about the shrinkage lie. Sometimes when someone or a company shows you who they are. You need to believe them. This company has shown they care about profits above everything else.

Im telling you man. Sds has known about this for a long time. Why else did they take away the ranked innings, and keep taking things away. That was their answer to take things away instead of fixing the issues. Bad business man..

On the flipside, people have absurd expectations. You can't ban someone for being in a discord (which was very recently exposed in the first place). Wait and see what happens in the next few weeks. Are we really expecting the dev that cant get miniseason stats right is going to be faster than any other developer in stopping an organized cheating ring? Which is from a game that has a significantly bigger hit to their profit from the cheating than SDS could ever dream of?
