Bots on market
-
So all morning i been putting in buy orders and instantly they get out bid by 1 stubs with 2 orders... this something new SDS is doing to raise prices?..and always 2 bids with 1 stubs higher.. no matter how many bids I put in this is happening
-
Happing now with Stanton, randy Johnson, and Miller
-
Everything is fine. Nothing to see here. Move along to the stub shop, please.
Story of the year.
-
Yea making use buy it full price
-
Saw that yesterday with EH Wood,he was down to 27k and a couple of bots got in a bidding war with each other and had up 5k in about a half hour, couldn't even try and put bids in cause you are instantly overbid, a bunch of cards I have tried to get recently have been like that.
I have a strong feeling now that this game is not gonna last much longer, have doubts now that it even makes it to the end of the season.
This was the most fun I've had beginning of the year in a long time, could of been a great year but it's just falling apart in every area. -
@PAinPA_PSN I agree 100% I been trying to place bids for the last 2 days for Stanton and at this point it's just comical... go watch that card and the bots work the magic it's insane lol .. and I also agree game is fun but with the cheaters online and now the bots inflating the market it's forsure a bad look

@mandrykm_PSN I’m not saying there aren’t bots in the market place, but people will sit on expensive cards they are trying to buy and 1 up until they get the card. I do this all the time especially with the more expensive low volume cards. That’s probably what you are experiencing.

This wasn't people, this was 2 orders instantly at 1 stub over yours then an order 1 stub over that, refresh and it's another 2 orders and 1 order each 1 stub over and it repeated every 10 seconds or so, they were up from 27100 to over 29 k in about 5 minutes, I'm used to competing with ppl in the market, this wasn't that
-
@PAinPA_PSN yea understand same thing is happening with postseason Stanton right now
-
@PAinPA_PSN It could be multiple people trying to get the card doing the same thing. This is exactly what I do. 1 up an order. Constantly refresh until someone 1 ups me. 1 up them. Cancel my previous order and repeat. This can be done very quickly on the app. If multiple people are doing this, you get what you’re describing. I’ve experienced this many times for several years. Believe what you want, but this could absolutely be people and not bots.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN I understand how the app and Market works but it's way too fast and the same person would have put in the same order two times. Its beening for a couple days now with the same cards
-
@mandrykm_PSN Why would it have to be the same person? Is it inconceivable that more than one person is trying to get a low volume card simultaneously?
-
@GoozeFn_PSN this same thing would happen for 2 straight days? Come on man lol
-
@mandrykm_PSN Low volume cards are highly competitive. Lots of people trying to get them and few selling them.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN lol ok go try it see how fast the BOT will out bid you on one of the cards and tell me it's a person... it dosnt take 2 or more days to outbid someone and get a card
-
@mandrykm_PSN You’re exaggerating. Give me a card to get and I’ll do it when I get off work and tell you exactly how long it takes. I’ve never spent more than 5 minutes getting a card I want with this strategy. You underestimate people.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN don't you have the app go get Stanton clearly using it right now at work lol
-
@mandrykm_PSN I’m working. I’ll get Stanton when I get off and let you know how long it takes.
-
@mandrykm_PSN I don't think their systems are able to do this correctly. They did a huge restriction, and accidentally restricted hundreds (or more) people who were doing nothing wrong.
You had to put in tickets, and they eventually got back to you (took like 4-5 days for me).It just seems that they aren't able to properly identify a bot vs. a human. I've seen the same stuff happening with the immediate and repeated undercuts that no human can possibly be doing.
-
Like yes people can be bidding up 1 always, but when an order is canceled and then 1-upped at the same time, that's when it looks suspcious.
Either way, those usually clear and you're able to get whatever card you need - even if annoying.
