Dont get too excited about the legend and flash back player.

@SakAttack87_PSN you still had to get a good portion of the live series teams done to complete it. Im looking at it from last year. 75 percent of the live series needed to be done. Like I said you may as well finish live series first. Reading is fundamental
"Unless you have live series completely finished you have no shot at getting the legend and flash back player."
And like I said, I got Rolen pretty quickly last year without having the LS completed. Reading is fundamental.

@SakAttack87_PSN when new cards come out sure. And you have alot of stubs of course. Day one look at it on friday. Most of the live series will need to be completed. The only people who have a shot at the legend the first few weeks are people with live series completed. Whats that 5 percent of the player base. Be excited, but understand most of us will take another few months. Once again catering to the money spenders and the best of the best players.

I don't need to be day 1, but when I think of these fb/L collections (or the program collections)the goal should be within a week or 2, a month or 2 is ridiculous, with better cards releasing you might not even want it anymore a month or 2, it needs to be targeted for a couple of weeks at most

With prices this year 5% is generous. Looking at parallels on Ohtani I’d say closer to 1% of the player base has live collection complete.
It’s not just about the main rewards it’s about all the team and divisional collection rewards as well that contribute to the collection.
Ohtani and Judge are sky high despite mediocre cards. Even the people that have them don’t use them in their lineups. On top of that there are between 15-20 additional diamonds that are between 50-150K.
The total stub price for live series is ridiculously high.

Completely agree and this is my main point. Most players will be constantly behind chasing outdated cards. By the time they are unlocked they will be obsolete. It’s a terrible model designed to reward whales and elite players/no lifers.
Allow them to get those rewards easier but than others but make it more doable for those of us that can’t drop thousands of dollars on the game and have demanding family/job responsibilities outside this game.

@TripleH-4481_PSN exactly right. To the other commentary nobody wants anything for free. We want to grind. I play alot and it took me well over a month and half to get Roland last year. By the time I got him he was washed. Thats the issue the majority of the player base is having. You cant throw in a new 99 legend when 95 percent of the player base doesnt have live series complete.

I had Rolen day one last year. I’m sitting pretty with investments and completion for tomorrow. But I may just sell everything tomorrow if the player is one who doesn’t excite me. Same thing with LS. I have all the cards. I’m just taking my time and seeing what happens with the market first. Last year without the cap I’d have everything locked in and get the LandF locked in day one. This year I’m being more cautious and not missing an opportunity to make stubs. If the guy tomorrow looks like he will replace a guy in my lineup I will get him. But if it’s Posey, he isn’t replacing Biz for me so I might as well make stubs.

Yep, attainable is key. I accept I will have to grind more if I don’t want to play on a high difficulty or online. With that said it has to be possible or it just feels pointless.

@TripleH-4481_PSN As much as I’ve complained about their steps to hinder making stubs on the marketplace, this is by far the easiest it’s ever been to earn packs. The problem is, the optimal way is boring. SDS struggles with balance every single year. Everything is a massive overcorrection. They need to find a way to make every offline mode equally rewarding and scale with difficulty. They also need to make playing online more rewarding than offline and with a reason to continue playing online when the multiplayer program is complete. Finally, they need to make the xp path meaningful again. Until you hit the boss pack, it’s meaningless and slow. I’d bet the average player doesn’t finish the 2nd inning path.
