    @Onix_Savage22_PSN That may be true but it is still possible. I have only pulled two diamonds that are significantly above quick sell and yet I am the Mets away from completing National and the Royals and Yankees from American. Perhaps you aren't flipping the right items.

    @Onix_Savage22_PSN

    Proving my point that Ohtani is simply a money grab at this point.

    @Onix_Savage22_PSN Currently I am buying commons for teams that don't have diamonds. So Rockies, White Sox, Giants, and Nationals. I buy at 5 and sell at 25. So I am making 22 measly stubs per flip but it adds up. I start with 2000 stubs (400 buys) and that becomes 8800 stubs. I do this on my phone app. If I am at home playing I may flip diamond equipment in between games. Point is it adds up fast and there is no need to spend real money.

    @theBlindRhino_PSN intresting I’ll give this a shot does diamond equipment move quickly? I’ve heard people talk of this method but always get 1 upped before my order goes thru. Yeah no I’m nms and don’t intend on spending money on this game I like the fact it still can be nms unlike 2k or madden.

    Flipping equipment is slow. It’s full of undercutters. You have to be patient and NEVER leave a buy order for a large amount of stubs unattended. You can get burned bad that way. If I pull a decent equipment item and the market is up I usually sell now if that item is new. The guaranteed stubs are worth more than the chance that item tanks and you lose out trying to sell. This advice is from experience and as such you or someone else might have a different take.

    @LHUBison58_XBL what’s a good margin to look for on diamond equipment 5k? On the higher ones 3k on the lower ones.

    @Onix_Savage22_PSN You seem to be looking for instant gratification so my advice is to way a few months. Diamonds move slowly. If I am doing diamonds I want to have about 200k - 400k to start out with. I bid on everything about 5000 minimum. I then play the game (I don't care about other peoples bidding habits) after the game I look to see what I bought and list to sell where I am going to make a reasonable profit (some where in the middle of the bids) I then put in another buy order for that item. After a couple hours of playing and following this process I will cancel all my buy bids and rebid. Once I list an item to sell I forget about it because eventually (unless I am listing for absurd amounts) they will go through.

    @Onix_Savage22_PSN Find a diamond card to watch. Take note of what the highest buys and sells are in the AM. Go back at Noon. Again in the evening. Now start buying at the lowest price you saw and listing at the highest price you saw. That is margin to pay attention to. All these cards swing on a pendulum. Some people follow a buy in the AM and list to sell in the PM strategy which may be your best bet.

    This may be the dumbest post ive seen in awhile. The in game price has absolutely nothing to do with his real life performance. That card isnt even the best hitter or pitcher in The Show. The price is the way it is because of the little number inside the diamond on the top corner. Thats it. Its the highest live series rating in the game and also the least likely to pull in packs.

    Not quite. The price is the way it is because you're not just buying one card with Ohtani, you're also buying...

    Manny
    Campanella
    Pujols
    Tulo

    You do realize that we witnessing history right? Something that our grand kids and generations to come will fawn over that we were alive during the ohtani era. He's a hitter that has gone 50/50 before and this year he's pitched 24 IP has an era of .38 WHIP of .75 and averages over a strikeout a inning. It's expensive it sucks and it's a grind to get him but he's doing things that have never been done before in the history of the sport & there has never been a card close to what you can use him for in MLBTS before

    You do realize that he is basically worthless now in online play and definitely will be in like a month? This price does not correlate with his worth in online gaming.

    $500 real dollars for a virtual card useless both now and especially shortly is a joke. People that say this is no where near Madden are blind. You have the LS cards at ridiculous prices and harder to get stubs. Then you have collections like Jackie (basically every one) where the collection is 50 cards. We will give you 25 by playing but the others you have to buy or get lucky with pack pulls. It is the only baseball game and I love baseball but as a company and a product it really is pretty [censored].

    I take a look at how fast stuff is moving over profit margin. I’d rather move quantity for profit over sweating out and getting grimy over one big card.

    @LHUBison58_XBL yeah that’s what I’ve been doing I’ve been doing live series bronzes all year that’s been my money maker. I go for guys on teams without diamonds and it’s been working like a dream for me until about 2 days ago. Margins are so tight rn it’s not even worth my time.

    I respect SaveFerris. I think he brings alot of good knowledge to this forum. Just wanted to say that so this isn’t personal…

    I should be able to achieve everything in a video game by simply PLAYING THE GAME. I refuse to spend 12 hours a day flipping cards for a virtual currency to buy cards that last a short time. That is WAAAAY too much hamster on a wheel for me. I honestly miss the old days where if you wanted the best cards you could get them just by grinding the game. ZERO stubs required for Immortals. As far as skill goes - The things you listed - Making WS, Going 10-0, ect…According to SDS that’s less than 1% of player base so the “GeT GoOd” argument is absurd. There should be a way to earn every card without either spending cash or flipping cards for hours upon hours. It’s a baseball game, We should be playing baseball.

    @The412Smoke_XBL

    100% agree. Save Ferris is an elitist in this game and wants exclusive rewards and trophies for being good at the game.

    It’s a video game and should be for the masses not the super competitive sweats that live on the game. People can do what they want with their time but video games are a way for most of us to chill, relax and have fun. Escape from our real life demands and responsibilities and maybe bond with our kids around baseball and video games.

    There are ways to be competitive in this game without locking out those that just want to have fun or are new to the game. Most of us have no problem with grinding even if it takes longer.

    You're literally complaining that you have to grind longer. "Everyone gets a trophy" mentality.

    And I'm by no means an elitist. I'm a barely passable player. I just don't think I'm entitled to all the good cards. I have to go out and "earn" them either through brute force (Earn 8 million packs) or through Flipapalooza.

    I appreciate @the412smoke_xbl's kind words. And if you feel that the work required to earn Ohtani isn't worth it, that's a perfectly valid opinion. I just bristle at the argument that Ohtani "isn't worth it." The price is what the market will bear. Enough people think he is worth it to spend that amount.
