With runners on first and second, the batter hits a foul ball that the left fielder narrowly misses. Somehow the two runners are just magically moved up a base. How does this happen?

I’ve also noticed the commentary getting a little messed up. A team will hit a homer, and Sciambi will say that the other team just hit a homer.
Plus, in one game, Bo Naylor appeals a check swing with Kyle Tucker on first, and he just lets Tucker walk to second.
