    About 2 weeks into spring training, I just noticed that I have about 3 players not on my 40 man roster on the MLB active roster. How is this possible?

    They are older players and when I try to send them down to the minors, I get "Player has more than 5 years service ..." and I'm unable to move them. There's no option to DFA them. I have an option to add them to the 40 man roster but that would require me to remove someone and send them through waivers, which I don't want to do.

    My only other choice is to release them and pay their wages.

    Any clue what happened here?

    That's how it works in real MLB.

    @Player99_MLBTS

    Players not on the 40 man roster can NOT be on the active MLB roster.

    As non-roster invitees, they can be on the spring training roster, but not the 26 man MLB roster.

    MLBTS does not have non-roster invitees. Only players on the 40 man roster can be on the team during spring training.

    @SaveFarris_PSN

    This has to do with DFAed players.

    The players I'm having trouble with are not DFAed. They are not on the 40 man roster and I have no option to DFA them.

    EDIT: Also, when you DFA a player, they are removed from the MLB roster and go to AAA. The players I have are still on the MLB roster.

    @stinkymcpooter_xbl

    Read the link and see WHY you can't DFA them.

    @SaveFarris_PSN

    You're not quite understanding my situation.

    I control ALL 30 teams. I control all rosters, trading and waiver claims. I have not DFAed any players. I have not claimed any players off waivers.

    I am 3 weeks into spring training. Any player that WAS DFAed would have been either released or sent to the minors. Any player that WAS claimed off waivers would be on the 40 man roster.

    The players in question are NOT on the 40 man roster and ARE on the MLB 26 man active roster. Neither of these things would be possible if the were DFAed or claimed off waivers.
