Lag during steals
-
Not sure if this is just and issue for me, but, occasionally, I'll get a clean jump and the runner lag half-way through and get thrown out by a mile. Happens during on-line play.
Submitted a bug.

Online Ranked / Online Play (Diamond Dynasty)Short Description:
Runner freezes or stutters mid‑steal despite a good jump.Detailed Description:
During stolen base attempts in online play, the baserunner will sometimes pause, stutter, or run in place mid‑animation, even after getting a clean jump. This causes the runner to lose momentum and results in being thrown out in situations where the steal should have been successful. The issue appears to be related to an animation or synchronization hitch that occurs midway between bases, not at the jump or at the bag.
Expected Result:
Once the steal command is initiated and the runner gets a good jump, the steal animation should play smoothly from start to finish without interruption.Actual Result:
The runner begins the steal normally with a good jump, but midway between bases the animation stutters or lags, causing the runner to momentarily freeze or run in place before resuming movement.Frequency:
Intermittent but recurring — has happened multiple times across recent online games.Steps to Reproduce:
Start an online game (Ranked or other competitive online mode).
Get a runner on base.
Initiate a steal attempt with a normal or well‑timed jump.
Observe the runner mid‑steal — despite getting a good jump, the steal animation will occasionally stutter or lag halfway between bases, causing the runner to pause or run in place before resuming.Video Evidence:

Issue affects competitive online play and impacts the outcome of steal attempts even when executed correctly. -

Your opponent has button accuracy throwing, the delay is so they can throw, it doesnt affect your steal at all -
Yeah that doesn't make any sense. When the lag/pause isn't present these are jumps on steals where the runner is safe by a mile, even on perfect throws on the bag.

@Casey34hr_MLBTS
Thats because button accuracy is so much better than the rng of just pressing the button and hoping your catcher makes a good throw -
They purposely put the lag on the runners so they would get caught stealing because people complained in past games that there was no way to ever throw out the speedy runners.

Just more junk code by SDS that not only has harmed the integrity of play, but also increases the likelihood of follow on bugs resulting from corrupted code execution. We've all seen it, where runners seem to step into mud on the field and lose speed, even though there is no rain taking place.
The game should come down to the skill level of the man holding the control pad, and nothing else. You get a good jump with a fast runner, then the play should render so that only an excellent throw can get the runner out. But, that's not what is happening. Instead, there is another code execution taking place that seeks to get a predetermined outcome.
SDS is a company chasing its own tail.
