Question for those who choose the Colorado Rockies stadium to play at
-
Ok my question is do you think your skill is not good enough to play at any other stadium besides Coors field? I keep hearing the excuse that MLB stadiums have Lag which just isn’t true but for argument sake let’s say there is lag then Coors field should be the same way. SDS make it so we can choose what Stadiums we play at and have a checklist for those we don’t want to play at. I would check off obviously Coors field, Shield Woods and any created stadium.
-
So, how much did you lose by?
-
@NotesOfJohn_PSN I’m going to take a wild guess and say you play all of your games at Coors field and has no skills so the only way you can hit is by playing there. Now did I lose yes. But that’s not the point. I’ve lost plenty of games the point is there are other stadiums you can choose to play at.

@chris9341_MLBTS
People like playing there because it is a good hitters park without letting too many balls leave. It takes low 90s to hit it out down the likes and 97+ to center, which is what you want from a stadium -
@TheRupster12_XBL I know it’s a good hitters park but you can’t pitch there. It doesn’t matter who is pitching. I don’t understand why everyone thinks that you have to hit a HR every single time. It’s the only reason people choose that ballpark.

The game is set up this way.
Best pxp? HR
Biggest roadblock in every TA program? HRIf you play a 1-0 game you have gained very little progress on anything
-
@chris9341_MLBTS You struck out 8 times to his 1. He had 3 perfect perfect HR to your 1. It wasn’t Coors.
-
The game is set up to have 80-90 percent of your runs score on dingers...that needs to be knocked way down. Coors doesn't help.
-
I use Coors, Green Mtn and Shippet for grinding. Camden Yards, Great American Ballpark and couple others I do probably equally well. Dodgers stadium I do miserable there.
-
@DrBear100_PSN Sounds like you cycle through the stadiums which is what I do also.
-
@chris9341_MLBTS I also do whatever u do not use angel stadium for an evening game.
-
Sounds like you cycle through the stadiums which is what I do also.
When I play online, I almost always pick Laughing Mountain. I like the batter's eye and the general dimensions of the park.
When playing Mini Seasons, I cycle through every park (not the MLB parks - all the others).
-
Now did I lose yes. But that’s not the point.
Thats 100% the point.
You lost....and you had the same advantages of playing at Coors as your opponent. You werent good enough so now you blame the ballpark and not your own inadequacy.

I usually use Camden Yards or Coors field. I also like shippets and laughing mountain because there are no outfield bleachers and no moving fans which at times can cause lag.
-
I like Coors also because you can actually get triples.
-
They like to get rewarded for their “good swings”.
They swear it’s never about rewarding their bad swings.
-
My sneaky favourite part to use (aside from my created one) is All American Park, I hit plenty of XBH there, but also it’s pitcher friendly enough to use as my home field for MS.
-
Unfortunately they can’t nerf the elevation for Coors like they they did Shippett.
-
@chris9341_MLBTS You're coping really hard, dude.
Your "wild guess" is wildly wrong, btw. -
I play my ranked games in Forbes. (Tongue in cheek) I put 95+ speed outfielders in and nobody gets rewarded for their bad swings. I then get a lead off on and steal my way to third and then safety squeeze the run in. I don’t need a batter’s eye, my opponent might, but what do I care? Rinse and repeat.
What’s the difference?
