Here are your Egg Hunt Cards

SDS constantly proves it plays favorites in releasing cards. coastal teams, or anythying st. louis and chicago gets the most cards. I don't know what's more frustrating, their constant trying to push sabermetrics off in their game or their disdain for all the people who play it. only 7 cards so far released for the Reds, twice as many for some of their darling franchises.
- In 2025 The Reds had the 5th most Legends and Flashbacks. The Cardinals were 15th.
- In 2024 The Reds had The 6th most Legends and Flashbacks. The Cardinals were 9th
Don't act like it is a annual tradition for SDS to ignore the Reds in favor of the Cardinals. Two consecutive years in the top 6 begs to differ. It has been a rough start for the Reds and 3 other teams who all have 7 extra cards so far this year. Two of them will get a single card today.
I understand the frustration but it is still very early

^also noting the Cardinals also lost out on a spotlight card, when a Mariners card was given for doing the exact same feat
And we havent seen the DQ cards, the collection cards, and possibly conquest cards as well

Grr don't bring that up

I wouldn't have minded, since technically Hancock was a little better (more K's and lower WHIP), but the Mariners already had the most legends and flashbacks at that point.

Oh, Colson Montgomery and a couple of Packs are in the event
-
Im assuming (hoping) the chocolate bunny pack is also in conquest and similar to spring breakout where all the cards are free. And cant trade for Austin wells (well the online one we probably can)
-
Teak - This is what you point out meaning you kind of do agree with me ( since you do not defend anything else ) but just cause I used a weak / bad example nothing surprises me anymore.

@Dolenz_PSN wonder if the chocolate bunny pack is gonna cost 30 million pxp again lol.

Look, I have been playing online games for 25 years now, since 1999. I have seen the space devolve like crazy. "Free to play" ruined MMORPG genre because it gave an excuse for microtransactions, and now even sub games have them.
I have played gacha games, I have played other UT modes. On a scale of a 1-10, SDS greed, by modern online gaming standards, is a 2.5 at worst. Maybe a few years ago it was a 2. Its not Path of Exile, but its still one of the least greedy live service models you will ever see. We don't even have a cash shop only currency. And we probably pay the price for it by them cutting corners elsewhere, as can be seen all over this forum.
At times we all lose this perspective. I wish we could go back to 1999 (for a number of reasons), but we can't.
Doesn't mean pushing back on change is wrong, but sometimes picking battles is wise too because at some point SDS or Sony can say screw it and go full EA (or worse full 2K) and then we are screwed.

To put it in perspective, Tulowitzki if bought in true pay to win fashion would cost what, 2k?
NBA released a new event today, as they do every few weeks, with limited time cards that can only realsitically be acquired by spending thousands on packs hoping for event pieces. And again, they do this every few weeks now.

@Teak2112_MLBTS this is also the 1 game that pay to win is laughable. How many paid squads have you come across with the whole team hitting .200? Sure if you're good those cards help, but just buying cards doesnt make your squad better on the field, just in the Loading screen.

@Dolenz_PSN The Big Red Machine is a legendary lineup... Still yet to see a George Foster or Davey Concepcion card. I don't remember a Mario Soto card ever being in the game.

Is there no egg hunt card collection this year or am I missing something?
