Balls & Strikes

I truly believe SDS strives to make the most realistic baseball experience possible. I think they have stated this numerous times.
However, balls and strikes calls (in MLB The Show) aren’t the same as in Major League Baseball.
If we’ve seen anything with the ABS system, a strike is when a pitch barely touches the strikezone.
In MLB The Show, sometimes a pitch is called a ball when the baseball is almost completely WITHIN the strike zone.
For me, this is a major gap in the gameplay.

I would say that a good 85 % to 90% of the time the ball hitting the line is called a ball and that should not be the case

Yeah this glitch has helped me but also costed me some moments and it kind of contributed to me giving up a walkoff homerun in the wbc mini season to lose the championship game.

I agree. It really throws me off after watching the ABS system in action. Pitches of mine that would've been called strikes under ABS aren't and it really cheeses me off.
At least we don't have CB as the umpire, haha
