There is on average 1 double play per team per game in MLB. Yet on this game they occur about once an inning. Must be REALLY hard to make an accurate game.

@The412Smoke_XBL I have hit into more double plays in the last three weeks than the last three years. I have also hit more hard line outs this year than the last two combined. You’re not alone.

Don't swing at low pitches with a man on 1st and less than 2 outs?

Double plays turned by the CPU, constant diving catches by the CPU and being unable to get doubles off the wall often due to the speed and arm accuracy of CPU outfielders...The CPU defense apparently assumes all players to be Diamond+ defenders

The game definitely wants you to hit into them. You have to lay off low stuff with runners on or you have to be 100% sure you’re getting well under the ball with the pci. Don’t be early on outside pitches either. The game REALLY wants you to hit into one. It’s been like that for years.

I don’t have a issue with actual double plays that’s fine. the part that gets me is when my runner just starts head down sprinting to the next base on a line drive with less then 2 outs. cause that’s not baseball only hard on contact with 2 outs.

When I use timing its MLB the double play. When i use zone its MLB the weak fly ball because I manage to always be under everything

I’m more concerned with the outrageous defense the CPU is playing with right now. 6,7,8 diving catches a game on gappers and stuff in the hole.

They’ve gotta tone that down a bit I think.

I dont like that the CPU turns double plays with the middle infielders second to first when they are playing the infield in.

Except it’s not. As I already stated - Happens on average twice per game in MLB. That should be reflected in it’s official simulation game.

This presumes that SDS's primary goal with MLB The Show is to create a video game that as accurately as possible simulates actual baseball. I think that used to be SDS's motivation, but I think that stopped being their motivation several years back when they morphed MLB The Show into a role-playing shooter game using baseballs and bats!

I’d imagine you also strike out less and get on base more than a real baseball game. Grounding into a double play that much in this game is insane though. I’ve never grounded into a double that much. That’s more of you problem I think.

Yes I get it double plays happen alot in the game. But out of the ACTUAL broken things with game play this is low on the list. You have people saying hitting is OP this year yet in 5 separate 2 strike counts a pitch 50% or better in zone was called a ball in my last ranked game. I'm not saying it should be touching for a strike but the blatant lie about perfect strike umpire in DD is a joke. Also I lost that game 4-5 with 6 perfect swing with 4 being outs, while my oppent had a total of 3 good timing swings and 6 sub 80 bloop hits where my defense got the stuck in the mud animation with gold fielding and 80 reaction. So double plays happening to much is down there on the list.
