Secondary Position in RTTS The Show 26

@andyfrom93_psn I agree, I would love to have a 2nd/IF player, or something similar. More and more players have the ability to play several positions all over the field.

I got this response from customer service, which basically told me they don't know anything about the game they sell:
"Looks like the secondary position comes in a few ways. First and easiest is when you are starting your player you can choose "Two-Way" this will allow you to chioose between a pitcher and one other postion. Another way comes as a story element that the game needs to trigger that your manager will come to you and ask for you to change possitions. This will make the new possition your main, while keeping your old possition as secondary."

Can anyone even confirm that the manger will initiate that conversation? Obviously we have the option to message our manager once a month and request a position change. Still crazy that the change doesn’t give you a secondary.

@slyravaniste_psn Unreal. The stole my money for the last time. I’m tired of paying $90 a year for an expansion. Graphics haven’t changed in 10 or so years, freezing intermittently has never been fixed and so many more issues.

This needs to be addressed. They lied to consumers. People bought this game with secondary positions being a selling point. Myself included. I don’t know why this is such a big ask. If you can create a player in the roster with a secondary, I don’t understand why they can’t add that in the RTTS player creator.

Just to clear up confusion here, currently, non-two-way players can have a secondary, but it's not available from the start unless you're a two-way player.

far as I can tell, you have to have a conversation with your manager about changing your position... at which point you'll get your secondary position... but don't quote me on that as I have yet to approve my coach about doing that... I only did it with my Two-Way to set up my Two-Way balance which ended up being the same balance that I started with because I want to keep my start every five days and remain in the lineup... I'm trying to figure out how to just be a DH on the days I'm not pitching and then DH on the day that I pitch but not sure how that works in-game.
I know last year you would DH the day before you pitched, pitch & DH on the day you pitch, and you would hit and play the field all the other games if memory serves.

I tried tge conversation with my manager and once my position was changed my previous position was gone.

Here’s my take after this outright lie in the Twitch stream this year when we were told secondary was available right from the start. All the YouTube streamers you pay to go to Arizona better show me this is available right from the start next year. YouTubers need to stop kissing SDS [censored] after they get a free trip to Arizona, better have early release PROOF that it’s available from character creation if not I refuse to pay another dime for this buggy, 2016 graphics, with 20 year old animations 2 generations old game. I’m done falling for the outright lies I heard on the stream.
I’ve been a loyal player every year since 07 on multiple platforms, PSP, PS3,PS4, XBOX ONE, XBOX SERIES X. You will never get another dime I’m tired of the bugs that NEVER get fixed,
I only play RTTS but they can micro transactions all they want for DD. That’s why they nerfed getting diamonds for us RTTS only players last year in May. We weren’t buying enough stubs. I payed $90 for a $20 expansion every year on a promise but was outright lied to this year. Not another penny, big deal we added more schools but not a single north east school.

@MakiOnodera_MLBTS I’m a two way player and I don’t get the option to switch my fielding position when I message the manager, it only says change balance of duties asking if I wanna hit more, stay in pitching rotation, or go full one way player. I was hoping I could change my role to what my team needs. SMH.

One day he will tell us, but not the pass 8 days. its not anywhere in double or triple a or the first year in the majors. Maybe they want you to interact with your phone more or something

Unless its like, you want to change position and it puts it as your secondary its not there yeah. I guess i could try that and see i just dont want it to save and lose hours of prog.
So if that were to work the trick would be start as your secondary and then switch positions after drafted to new position. Wich i dont even understand why they would put you back to your orig position ever.
Also i just started a game and at the bottom of the first with 1 out and a runner on first with two have already scored and i was batting fourth.
This game seems to be getting worse after launch and not better.

No, don’t bother I switched my 3rd baseman to shortstop and 3b was gone.
