Base runners going back to previous base rather than advancing forward.

What is it that after several continuous years you still are not willing to fix the base runners running back to the previous base on hit balls. Hit and runs are like not even possible most of the time. Runners stealing stop and return if you swing at the pitch or put it in play. It is causing games to be lost.

Not pressing anything and I am making sure of it. It is worse now than it ever has been

It is fairly bad. Every time there’s a line drive or ground ball between the fielders, 9 out of 10 times the base runner will automatically return to their base and then take forever to turn back around. This year so far is waaaay worse than it’s ever been.
