Will they keep going up for the foreseeable future? I remember last year Ohtani, Judge and Witt kept going up until after all-star break. I have AL west done but just pulled Ohtani so might go for NL instead of AL Central and AL East. Just trying to be smart with my stubs. Thanks for any insight.

If your goal is to complete collections soon, lock him up. If you don't mind waiting until summer, you could sell. But I'd keep him and get Manny

Hard to tell but the rewards last year in the live collection were way better so they may not be as much, but what do i know? Pulling Ohtani pretty much means your almost half way there to complete the collection.

According to 3 people in here, Judge and Ohtani were selling for peanuts last year.

My suspicion is Judge comes up and Ohtani comes down

Last year Judge started as a lower overall than Ohtani, this year they are equal.

I certainly wouldnt sell either though.

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN might as well put it here too since you’re doubling down.

Cost of LS this time last year.

Cost of LS this time last year.

So its ~300k higher this year

-Two high gate keepers day 1 vs just Ohtani last year
    -More 90s than last year
-People started Ohtani/Judge prices higher this year because the demand was proven last year

And while golds may or may not be lower than last year i(lets let the season start before the investing really kicks in), packs are certainly MUCH easier to obtain. Not to mention an increase in sellable cards in general. Its absolutely easier for the average player to make stubs this year, which also explains why LS is more expensive even with the increase in packs.

@Teak2112_MLBTS why are the goalposts moving?

My reply was to someone who was telling people Ohtani was 700k this time last year.

@xero4019_XBL to be fair, LS cards had a price cap of 500k until May of last year, so you really can’t comp them since 2025 had price controls in place.

    @GradektheBard_PSN

In addition to this, players learned from last year, wait too long and the top 2 keep going up in price. I made the mistake last year of going after them last and cost myself a lot of extra stubs. Everyone is selling low diamonds knowing they’ll be cheaper and saving up stubs for Ohtani or Judge. Their price will come down a bit once the NMS/non-investor class start to obtain them and start collecting the rest of the cards they need.

Just crazy to think you can compare year over year in a fixed market that’s controlled by a company that doesn’t share all the dynamics. It is what it is, adjust and move on.
