I always get the live series done in reasonable time and I never flip. It’s actually kinda nice having silvers and bronzes so cheap. If your fun is buying and investing then yeah, this sucks. That was never “my” fun.

This is my favorite kind of post, thanks OP.
You wrote a full on economic dissertation on fake baseball cards in a video game forum.
You didn’t “lose the market” you lost your full-time unpaid job you operate out of your mom’s basement. I know you’re mad because you might have to actually play the game now but it might be good for you and your fellow Stub CEOs in the long run.
And for the record- Calling this ‘economic control’ is a reach. They capped inventory and reduced easy flips — that’s it.
You weren’t investing, you were exploiting loose mechanics, and now that they’re gone you’re framing it like a macroeconomic issue.
And this isn’t serious analysis, you may want to “invest” your time learning real markets instead of treating The Show as your little make believe Hedge Fund fairy tail.
But again, I love the post. Hopefully you share these replies with your buddies during your next furry party.

Buying and selling for profit still works — it’s just not as exploitable or time-dominant. The issue isn’t that it’s gone, it’s that it no longer revolves around you.

Play the game you can earn plenty of usable cards for competitive online play just by playing the game. This is a video game not Robinhood

Don't give them your money, in no shape form or fashion can they grab it away from anyone. But also its unconstructive to be upset with people who actually enjoy the Show and love spending their resources on it. Jealousy doesn't do anything but put undue stress on your heart and send you to an early grave.

Anyone who has played 2K will tell you that this is absolute rubbish.
I'm annoyed at SDS like many, but compared to 2K, SDS are angelic.
2K have 90% of good cards locked behind real money only packs, their "content" is just packs, and Mid cycle they had a card that cost up to $10,000.
Not to mention that literally 95% of all cards in 2K are unsellable. -
2k releases cards every week with worse rates than Ohtani. If the top overall cards in a pack are a 6'0" point guard or Wemby, you will get the point guard 99% of the time you hit those "<1%" odds

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN The prices of high diamonds this early into the year has greatly risen from the start of last years game. Shohei was going for about 300k at this time last year, he is now over 600k and judge is 400k. The prices have risen from last year and you are oblivious to that.

@xero4019_XBL They don’t understand that “investors” most likely kept the market healthy and stable for the first couple of months. Of course after the 3rd or 4th roster update prices of some cards rose to extreme highs as people made more stubs but until then the prices of cards were reasonably priced. Not sure if they directly correlate just yet but we do know that shohei is around 2.5x more than what he was at this time last year. If anyone cared about “investors” driving the prices up it was other “investors” trying to buy the guy cheaper for better roi, it literally doesn’t affect the people who don’t invest.

It's another beautiful, sunny day in California's Bay Area... enjoying a cup of coffee and just played a Conquest game while one of the cats slept next to my monitor. My wife will be up soon, and she's got some new content in SWtoR she's been looking forward to playing, so we'll be doing a little gaming before going with my daughter to see her girlfriend perform in a matinee of her high school play.
Really looking to be a nice one. Might even be cool enough this evening to hop in the hot tub.
