The claims about lineup and rotation logic improvements in '26 are a total sham
-
I’m not a franchise player, but I’d say it’s a foundational problem that they can’t fix. Playing in DD against CPU teams, the lineups they generate are a joke. Play against the dodgers and Ohtani isn’t even in the batting lineup. I’d imagine whatever lineup logic they’re using in franchise is the same logic they use when setting CPU rosters in DD. Just my simple minded thoughts.

@SavageSteve74_PSN
I just control all 30 teams, only actually play as the one I want to play as (my Mets) but fix the lineups, rotations, etc. so this BS doesn't happen. -
@Ludens-man_PSN I don’t think it is a sham, but I agree, largely with your comments. It is really a grind to have to micromanage not only every team, which I can do, but it’s having to micromanage every lineup on every single day because it changes with every injury that occurs. They have to give you at least the option to disable the auto lineup adjustment and bring it back to last year set up, so at least you can control it. Otherwise, you will spend an hour each day, correcting the lineups.
-
@TheBigPapa55_PSN yes but it doesn’t solve the problem for the other 29 teams.

Slapping a new label on the same product doesn't change the product. This is what SDS is doing each year. And with each year SDS keeps doing this, they lose more customers and more goodwill.
-
@SavageSteve74_PSN Ohtani isn't in the lineup in DD because that's how all of the MLB lineups in DD are... the pitchers never hit and Ohtani is listed as an SP in Live Series... it doesn't slot him in as DH.
As far as the lineups in Franchise, I can't speak to that as I have only played 2 Spring Training Games in my Mets Franchise as I try to figure out what difficulty level I'm going to ultimately play on and if I'm going to play a full 162 or if I'm goingo to play it more "MTO" style like I did on another save.

@bigeast2west2-_MLBTS
Did you not read his post? -
It does if you’re controlling their roster moves which is what I said. I only play games with one team but have control of the rosters to the other 29
-
@TheBigPapa55_PSN You said so this BS doesn't happen and my point is it does even with 30 team control. You must micromanage all the lineups and rotations whenever someone gets injured or you move the player within the organization.
-
Ok, maybe that’s the case, but go play the Phillies and tell me what logic it’s using to have Stott in as DH, Sosa as lead off, and Schwarber not in the batting lineup?!?!?

Sony really needs to overhaul their attribute rating system as well as progression/regression to the point players are way more spread out. Fewer 90's overall rating, more mlb players in the 50's and milb players in the 30's and 40's. Only then will they ever be able to better replicate what mlb lineups and pitching staffs look like.

Seems odd to be frustrated about this particular issue, but it is annoying when they claim to have fixed something and clearly haven’t.
