I haven't played ranked in 2 years. I have never handled losing well. I decided to give Rank a try today. I played 3 games, lost all 3, quit the middle game in the first after giving up multiple runs and not feeling like I would ever get out of the inning. I'm still sitting at 0 rank. If I'm so terrible I can't even get above 0 rank, why bother? What am I missing? I have nerve damage in my primary hand, and it shakes uncontrollably. It gets worse wiith anxiety and I keep making unforced errors because of it. I just don't see the point if I'm only going to lose. What don't I understand? How is there any hope of getting the rewards if II can never win?

I win about half the games I play. Even if you're losing, you can still make progress in the multiplayer program. You need to get hits, runs, strikeouts, etc. There are a bunch of missions listed. Even if you lose, you can still accumulate progress and get rewards.

Sorry about your hand. I'm 61 and my reflexes are slowing down, but I still enjoy online play.

@DivineFury75_PSN If ranked effects you this negatively then just play offline modes. Nothing wrong with playing Conquest. This is a game that should bring you joy, Not make you feel so dark.

I went on a 10 game heater to start the year and now am on a constant cycle of win one lose one and it’s making me pretty mad I want World Series tho I don’t handle losing well either my best advice is try to have short memory the past is 20/20 vision just look to the next play and try to play with confidence and u will get there and if u just can’t get the online ranked mode no big deal great rewards come out of the mini seasons and u can adjust the difficulty to ur likings and do 9 inning games this year hope this helps

I’d wait for a little. Let the higher skilled players rank up, do some offline grinding and come back in a week or so.

I made world series last year but I typically wait towards end of a season to play ranked when all the 1000 rates freaks pass thru hall of fame difficulty

I was wondering about higher-skilled players just starting. On a side note, I finally won a game

Yeah, I played with one eye last year. What helped me a ton was adjusting my expectations. I still got a lot of rewards and Pxp from pitching and I’m now a lot better because of it. But it took ME adjusting MY goals and expectations to find joy. You gotta do you first and foremost. There is nothing wrong with playing offline and embracing that grind. I play offline daily for relaxation. I throw on a podcast and play. It’s so relaxing. Find your happy place.

I am admittedly a very bad sport. Someone above mentioned not needing to win to progress the multiplayer program. You both are probably right, and I will have to adjust my goal from winning to completing the multiplayer program for the sake of my sanity.

At the beginning of the game it’s probably not best to be playing ranked when everyone is starting out zero. Waiting a couple weeks is best. I’ve hit 1000 in ranked and still don’t want to face some of these guys on all-star even though I expect to score 10-20+ runs on all-star

@DivineFury75_PSN this is an extremely hard game brother. Its not easy to hit. Ive been playing online for four straight years and still get destroyed. Try to do the best you can. If you lose you lose. No one is judging you. Alot of disgusting good online players we will aways run into them from time to time. Just remember most of them have no jobs.

Another couple ways to avoid sweats would be to avoid the most common or newest online content. If they put out new BR rewards, avoid BR for a bit, when new Events come out, go play ranked. When new Ranked rewards come out, go play the events.

People will try to get the newest rewards first so they can sell them quicker and get a bit more stubs so avoiding them can help.
