The new update does not allow you to access your progress, build, or collect pages. When you try going to to them it kicks you out of diamond dynasty.

I used to do beta testing for Microsoft Flight Simulator products, mostly aircraft. The protocol was that in return for beta testing the product, you received a free copy of that software. The beta testing would comprise of about a half dozen people who had experience as a real-world pilot, and we would test the aircraft out. This beta testing was done about two weeks to a full month prior to planned public release.

The companies had already done what was called alpha testing, which was to quickly determine if the product performed properly in general terms. Our job was to scrub the details, to ensure that planes flew as the real world aircraft did. Sometimes, we would discover something that didn't work and of course we reported that back to the coders. Nearly every time, the bugs we discovered were fixed prior to initial public release.

Today, it appalls me to see how the video game industry operates. I seriously doubt they do alpha testing any longer, and certainly it seems their concept of beta testing is to get people to pay $75 to $100 for "early access," and play the game. So you are paying for the duty of beta testing for a multi-million dollar software company owned by a multi-billion dollar holding company!

Believe me, any degree of alpha testing and beta testing would have discovered such shocking bugs as foul balls hit over the dugouts being ruled home runs!

But, where the issues really expose themselves is in post-release software updates, and increasingly we see them cause as many issues as they solve. This isn't exclusive to SDS and MLB The Show either. EA Sports with their Madden NFL 26 game released an update that eviscerated their main offline game mode, Superstar. Point being that after this update, customers could not open the game mode without a crash back to the main menu, reporting data corruption with the EA servers! This happened back in October 2025 and the company still has not fixed the issue, leaving customers unable to play their chosen game mode for six months and counting!

The entire video game industry is dangerously close to imploding itself due to poor product testing and support.
