First, let’s all keep in mind that only a fraction of 1% of players ever go flawless in BR, so the change to a voucher (and its value) impact almost no one playing the game and thus hyperbole by many online that “no one will play br” or “br is dead” are exact.y that, hyperbole.

Sure, that fraction of a percent may not play as much as they did, but it will be unnoticeable to anyone else playing the mode (except you will run into goons less frequently).

As for the 50k stub voucher being “insulting”, this is pure gaslighting. The 1st inning br flawless rewards last year averaged no where near 100k (just like everything else in the game, they are insta sold to fund LS and no one is buying, because buyers are also getting LS). SDS also indicated that they could adjust the price later (but keep in mind, we are talking about targeting a tiny percent of players who won’t make an impact on br).

Finally, stub vouchers (unlike cards) are inflationary and SDS has not been careful not to over inflate the market too early in the cycle with too large of vouchers.

@GradektheBard_PSN Agree with everything you said. Also, we won’t have expensive cards we won’t want to use, but are necessary for collections.

My issue with the BR players was that they benefited from a flawed system from the start. They were able to speed rush a max sell BR card by pre-loading 11 wins then wait for a new BR to drop and to hit their 12th win.

I say get rid of the voucher and reset BR runs with each new drop like ranked and events have always been.

@Teak2112_MLBTS This is what I miss the most about the mode. I enjoy the drafting process and trying to win with the golds, silvers and the glitchy bronze pitchers. Earning those BR exclusive cards were always worth it.

BR needs to have its own reward path. It looks like the multiplayer path has a few incentives to play BR, but only a few. It's such a good mode, and there's so little incentive to play it - unless you can go flawless....which hey, I'm probably a top 10 percent player in this game, and I have nearly zero chance of doing.

At this point, I think BR needs to be completely replaced with some kind of "Team Building mode' that you actually have a reward to play. Like a mode where you can use your binder and make different theme-based teams, and you can't just march out the switch hitting God squad.

    1,000,000%

The henchmen tier really added a fundamental layer of depth to BR.

@AppleLemon560_MLBTS you just described Mini Seasons... maybe they could role out a Mini Seasons Head 2 Head where you play against another human player instead of CPU... only hitch I guess would be if you lock 8 playes into a Mini Seasons together or if you play a random H2H player that also loaded into Mini Seasons when you did and go from there... would be an interesting concept and a great way to soft launch/test what bringing some type of online league into DD.

But yeah the idea of playing Mini Seasons H2H sounds intriguing to me.
