@PAinPA_PSN tell that to teams like the rays who can barely fill out a theme team at the end of the year.
I never said it was a good system,and I never said that I liked it, that is just what I think happens.
-
@PAinPA_PSN I didn’t say you were wrong. I’m just griefing for the teams that get no love in this game.

I agree with you that it is unfair and unbalanced,but if you look back through mlb history it always has been. I don't like that either
-
@PAinPA_PSN Sure, but just because teams have been unbalanced for 100+ years doesn’t mean there aren’t enough potential legends to give every team enough to make every fan base happy. Obviously every team can’t be loaded with stars, but there are tons of legends that would be meaningful to the fans of those teams and they’d likely be cheaper than many of these stars.
-
With the player vault, we can have all of them! Unfortunately, just in Franchise though, and not within the excitement of DD. Two different worlds of fun imagination, but would be great to have them all in both modes!
-
I assume Cobb would be basically a left hand hitting Honus Wagner. Exclusively an outfielder though. I think he’d be amazing to have in the game. Not really anybody like him. Oscar Charleston or Richie Ashburn maybe? But I don’t remember Ashburn being 99 speed/steal which Cobb would be as well as 99 bunt. He was the 1st HOF class. Need him back.
-
As a Sox fan I want Dustin Pedroia. Yes he's not going to fly off as a must have. He is just my favorite player.

Dustin Pedroia is winning the 'guy who was excellent in a shortened career' Hall of Fame vote from David Wright and has a good chance at making the Hall of Fame. Definitely worthy of inclusion in game.
-
Wright was on pace for 500 homers and 3000 hits before his back gave out.

500 HR is a stretch but was easily on pace for a HoF career.
IF Pedroia is a HoFer it would be absurd if Wright isnt also one. But having good defensive stats is perhaps the most important thing for a borderline hall of fame case these days, and Pedroia had that while Wright was just fairly average even if he was considerably better offensively (51 oWAR vs 41 oWAR in only 100 more PA)
Still, no question Pedroia was a great player
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS
It’s a true stat actually. I heard it in a YT video somewhere. -

If they are going to start qualifying the "what could've beens" for the HOF, then both Pedroia and Wright need to get in line behind Don Mattingly.
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS I dont disagree....go look at Kirby Pucketts stats. he had 3 more years too. His career was cut short because of cataracts. I'm happy i got to see him play, but would love him in the Hall of Fame.

Puckett already is in.
Wright managed 2 strong years after his back injury and has a longer track record, even though Mattingly had almost 1k more plate appearances (and 7 less WAR, but 1B tax comes into play)
Wright and Beltre were the two premier 3B of his era (Rolen overlaps a bit too), and Wright was a a better offensive player than Beltre, higher in all three of BA/OBP/SLG. Of course, Beltre started young and had solid longevity and ended up nearly double the at bats.

Sarcasm?

Do we know when to expect the next legends announcement?

@globetrotter360_PSN The legends trailer was released just 3 days before early access last year. It seems silly that they wait so long to build up excitement for the game. They save all the exciting stuff for the last week. I guess that makes sense when they don’t have any significant improvements in several years.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN Good points. Thanks

I think it's deliberate to cash in on the FOMO. Drop a few big Legends right before launch and sway some people who are on the fence.
