Here are the charts

How hard/expensive would it be to bring in more legends that aren’t big names, but would be meaningful for those teams in the bottom half of this list? There are lots of players that had a good year or 2 that could be brought into the game at a low cost to balance the disparity. Focus on players who could get cards for multiple teams too.
Take a guy like Edwin Jackson for example. He had an all star season for the Tigers. He had a no hitter for the DBacks. He had card worthy years for the Rays, Nats, WSox and A’s. That’s one more player for a bunch of teams in the bottom half. It would be nice to not got the same cards every single year.

The problem with this is that they've tried bringing in mid players with a few good years and the community shits all over them on social media.

@GoozeFn_PSN
Definitely a lot more than SDS would want to spend. They're too busy overhauling those graphics

The community shits all over them no matter who they release.
I kind of understand why they don't oversaturate a player on too many teams but man they could do distribution of the guys they have better. Just looking at my favorite team.
- Why has Matt Holliday received 5 Diamond cards for other teams since his last Cardinal Diamond.
- Why, when the only Legend Pitcher we have ever have had is Gibson, could we not also get a Carlton?
- Why no St. Louis Rolen card?
I am sure you could this for every team
-
@Dolenz_PSN Exactly. They do an awful job at card distribution. Also, these mid type players need to be focused on early in the year when people will actually want to use them.
Look at the Homerun Derby X cards last year. Way too late for most to care about those players. The beginning of the year should focus on the lesser legends while the live series are still relevant. Even some of the bigger legends that aren’t as relevant late in the year, like Tony Gwynn should get good cards early.
-
I am looking at the diamondbacks about the lack of Randy Johnson card at any overall for the diamondbacks. He’s in the HoF as a Diamondback. It’s stuff like that that shouldn’t happen. I know there isn’t a lot too choose from because of their short existence compared to other teams but that’s a gimme.
-
They love to bury mid players behind early live series. The people that complete those early in the year are using the live series diamonds, not an 85 Reggie Sanders. And then when they do release a decent Sanders cards, its a mid round of a pack. I will be surprised if he is back next year.
John Kruk was one last year. He got live series'd, and then i think he was a TA card late in the year when there were a ton of power hitting 1B. If you are going to release the fattes...er weakest version of the W Clark/Grace/Olerud/K Hernandez type of 1B maybe give him a prominent early card before everyone has juiced power?
I think they could also do a better job of encouraging us to use the cards. Have a mode where you use a full lineup of a specific card series. Obviously relievers would make it so you cant go full theme, but most series you can field a proper lineup from.

@Teak2112_MLBTS I’ll be pretty upset if Reggie is gone without getting a Padres card. One of his best years was with the Padres. What a waste.

He also had solid (WAR over 3) seasons for Arizona, SF and Pitt and could justify a low diamond for STL
5 tool player, although not exceptional at any of them except for his arm.

Id like to know if Ernie Banks will be back into the game for 26, after being missing for 25.
-
@Cubsfan217_XBL I doubt they’d bring him back after just 1 year. He’ll probably be gone for at least a few years like Ted Williams.
