How about an extreme stub exchange a month later? 2m for 30 points progress ... Can do twice (leaving 40 to do through playing). Might be nice for ppl with lots of leftover stubs, maybe some ppl even buy stubs which sds would want.

This sounds like a good idea, but make it 500K.

I wouldn't mind seeing some extensive stat grinds - maybe having to P5 certain cards for progress - but adding a stub exchange would totally defeat the purpose. You shouldn't be able to pay your way through this kind of program. It's called Extreme for a reason.

Market would get extreme for few days with everyone trying to flip their way to finish extreme program haha
I agree with you, they should add some grind for the future for everyone to be able to get it. But as Dolenz mentioned above, they should add this option after few weeks so those that already completed it the hard way have at least some feeling of having exclusive card that was hard to get - and they don't feel like they wasted their time trying to complete some of those ridiculous challenges. I believe that would be perfect mix. It would not be as easy as last year (that wasn't even extreme program really, I think I played like two mini seasons and completed whole program like that without doing anything extreme) but everyone would be able to get all those cards eventually, not like 2019 and 2020 as you mentioned above.

I think a fair compromise would be if in a few weeks they release an Extreme Mini Season. They had one before and it at least required a good amount of grinding in exchange for progress.

Extreme is about difficulty. You either have to have some decent skill at the game and if you don't your only other option should be some lengthy stat grinds whether that is P5ing specific cards or something like a more challenging Mini Season. There is nothing difficult about spending leftover stubs or swiping a credit card. People complain all the time about this game becoming more "pay to win" and adding a stub exchange to a program like Extreme would be the cherry on top of that narrative.

It's SUPPOSED to be hard. That's why they call it Extreme.

Anyway, whenever the final inning drops, they'll turn on Double/Triple/Whatever PXP forever and you can earn everything via the repeatable mission. That's how I'm earning them.

At least this year, they added the repeatable XP mission. In 2020, you had to beat the Extreme Moments, Conquest and Showdown. There were no other ways to earn progress and unlock 99 Gehrig. That was it.

Back in my day, you had to do everything and you had to like it!

Took me a month to complete that Showdown...

I’m with @SaveFarris_PSN It’s extreme and supposed to be diabolically hard!

I just wish they’d make the rewards sellable. (In fact, I wish they made any rewards I earn sellable, regardless of program/mode).

It was brutal. I played through it so many times only to repeatedly get shut down by Nate Pearson at the end. A few were in heartbreaking fashion with the winning run stranded in scoring position. 😢

My point is, at least this year they threw in the XP mission as an alternative.

Also, since when could you lose to a boss in Showdown and continue the run? I got demolished by Randy Johnson the other day and it let me keep going. That's gotta be new.

@BLAISEBLAISE_PSN I decided just to keep playing the game the same way and eventually I will finish the program with pxp. I'm at 15% already. Probably going to take 6 weeks to get through it.

    Dear SDS,

Since this year’s game’s M.O is the best cards are in packs, you should put one Choice Pack of the 5 Extreme Cards, and sell it in the store (limit it to one per player).

Y'all just need to play the dang game and you'll eventually get it finished.

Its not supposed to be finished right away; unless youre a really good player.

Besides, none of the rewards are must have cards. Theres better, or close enough, cards available for each position.

Some of you just want stuff handed to you.

That's just human nature, wanting things easy. Life can be hard sometimes, so.....
Another thing is not everyone is going to need a baseball fix, deep into November. I usually play up until January the latest, because if there is no real-life season alongside it, for me the desire fades. I haven't even bought NHL '26 yet, and Hockey is my favorite sport. The hunger isn't there for that yet. I used to play EASHL year-round. NBA regular season even starts today, and I could care less. Maybe because I got my fill with WNBA. I love that weird league!

it's extreme for a reason and if you don't have the time or the ability to complete it then that geeked out 99 card isn't going to be the difference in your ranked winning experience anyway. I'm not going to get the extreme card(s) and i'm not worried about it. I can't hit anything thrown by most of these high 99 pitchers now anyway. lol

Almost nobody wants this, and it disingenuous to say thats what people are asking for. So knock off that [censored].

There is an in between between play at difficulty levels that many consider unfun (and may be impossible for some) and play for 400 hours

And that in between existed in recent years

Let me start off by saying that I don't care about these cards so don't go accusing me of wanting stuff for free..

But I do disagree with statement I quoted. I have roughly 300 hours played and I only have 378K of PXP for the year (7 months in). There is no way that I would ever get 800K more in the 5 remaining months.

I mean, the My Legacy programs PXP rewards top out at 500K and that is meant to be a year long mission so asking players to earn 800K as the game and content are in the waning part of the year means that almost nobody will earn these cards just by playing the game.

    Couldn't agree with you more @Dolenz_PSN .

If these "Pro" players get these cards quickly I'm fine with it. Don't lump everyone else in saying we want stuff handed to or you just have to play the game it may be true for the few minority but not the vast majority. I just don't have the time with my busy life schedule and I'm okay with that and I'm okay with however everyone else chooses to go about this program, I'm okay with the absurd nature that SDS has presented this program, I'm okay not having these cards and I'm okay using Fernando Tatis jr or Corey Seager Awards instead of the "Meta God" Elly De La Cruz. But don't brush a broad stoke across everyone basically saying we are lazy and want something for nothing.

I feel like there should be some sort of collection or exchange involved where you can spend a lot of stubs for program progress with chase cards or something like that

What if they put a voucher in the Team Affinity path for each team at 1 million points? It would be roughly the equivalent of all goals except 1 of the final ones (I'm a Cardinals fan but I'm never sniffing the hits requirement to get the #1 Fan icon for them). Make them 3 or 4 points per redemption. That would reward those that have done an 'extreme' grind throughout the year.

Listen, a mini season would be nice LIKE WE'VE HAD IN THE PAST. Nobody is saying having something handed to you on a silver plate is the answer, but give us a little something other than DQ, moments, conquest, & showdown (and nobody plays events so that doesn't count).

Extreme mini season??? I just played a play it back mini seaon game, the cpu pitched 11 straight balls and then with a 3-0 count on the 3rd batter dots 3 straight strikes. 1 down on the inside corner, 1 down on the outside corner and finally 1 up on the inside corner. That's on Veteran difficulty. That's pretty extreme. I shutter to think how the cpu pitchers would pitch on extreme mini seasons. I'll pass on that. I like adding a voucher to TA idea that someone came up with in one of the threads to reward the grinders
