Overheating PS5

Switching from center pitcher to strike zone completely removed all overheating messages.

Why is this only happening on the PS5 and not Xbox?!

@sgoforth3_MLBTS Because the game isn’t the problem. It’s a common PlayStation problem.

It is happening to me on PS5 on Indiana Jones too. It is only happening on my oldest console. I have cleaned out the fan and vents but I suspect the issue is dust build up around the power supply which is more delicate to get to. I am going to bring it in to UBreakIfix today to get a thorough cleaning. So the issue is not MLBTS only.

@theBlindRhino_PSN This was happening to me on Path of Exile 2 shortly before the show came out. I cleaned my PS5, added a fan and moved it into a space with more open air and haven’t had any problems since.

I've played the game the last few years on Xbox because of GamePass but I was hoping to buy it this year on PS. I guess I'll get it for Xbox when the price drops.

I just want to bring this to the attention of the devs since this issue is still not fixed. Any replay, highlight or using the pitching cam still causes my PlayStation to overheat. And I’ve had it cleaned professionally twice since this game came out. This is the only game that is giving me this issue. I seriously hope SDS fixes this issue as I want to play this game but I do not want to risk my PlayStation breaking.

I have had the digital PS5 version of the game now for about a month and no issues w/ overheating. My ps5 is the slim version and I put it horizontal

me pasa lo mismo y cuando doy home run en road tambien sale el mensaje de calentamiento cuando esta la cinematica deberian solventar eso por que solo pasa con mlb

@Onelemur1_PSN estamos en las mismas y nada que dan respuestas entonces sigo jugando el 24 que no da ese error de recalentamiento

A game with such old Gen graphics should not overheat your console. However, this game does my Xbox one series x. So weird. Idk how this happens, if it's bad coding or what but I never have issues with any game I have a disc for.
