This is such a terrible choice. There are now 3 catchers it’s endgame god squad level attributes and we are in September. And two of those catchers are Yankees!

Now I definitely plan on selling the August Spotlight cards I already have because I don't have a need nor do I want a Yankee player

It would've made more sense for SDS to have saved Bryan Reynolds for that Retro spot and use the Neon collection finale for a different legend. More people would've bled out stubs for Reynolds. The Yankees already have Jorge Posada at catcher and Giancarlo Stanton at DH.

I mean how many people will actually have Sanchez in their lineup and they're Yankee theme team lineup? I know for sure I won't be getting him right away I'd rather wait til the cards get cheaper later in the game cycle

Agreed completely, why would I use another catcher when I already have a 99 Posada that hits home runs and doubles like crazy O and is a switch hitter.
I have absolutely 0 need for another Yankee catcher.
Going to go on vacation for a week and forget about this garbage fire of a game.
Just a thought but maybe SDS can also include a 99 Yankee Roger Clemens or Mike Mussina as the next Chase pack...... just saying i wouldn't be shocked.

Just for giggles I gave NotebookLM links to Reddit and Twitter and and small selection of messages and had it make a short 12 minute podcast on the reaction.
Kind of funny to listen to these AI Hosts talking about and analyzing the action. It's not perfect. At one point the mention a 99 Cal Ripkin catcher card when I think the meant Cal Raleigh. But considering that most of their info came from countless negative reddit messages it actually did a pretty good job of summing it up.
As for me I will play maybe 10-15 minutes tomorrow, get the Jimmy Crooks card that I won't put in my lineup and then stop. Unless there is a Cardinal Specific Mini Season
