I believe next year needs to be the year they truly elevate the presentation and realism of the game. Here’s what I mean:

    Authentic Licensing & Stadium Atmosphere
We need better integration of licensed music and more realistic stadium experiences — think closer camera angles for entrances, custom light shows, and team-specific traditions. As a Yankees fan, hearing Sinatra after a win or the iconic bleacher creature roll call would be incredible. I’m sure fans of other teams feel the same way about their own unique rituals.

    Major Graphics Overhaul
The visuals need a serious upgrade — from pre-game introductions to post-game celebrations, and every moment in between. The entire broadcast-style presentation should feel modern, immersive, and polished.

    True-to-Life Intensity
The energy of a walk-off in the 9th or the pressure of a playoff game should be undeniable. Just like in the latest football titles, you should feel the stakes — through crowd reactions, commentary, and atmosphere.

After playing the new college football games and the latest Madden, it’s clear: it’s time for baseball fans to get a true in-game experience. One that respects the legacy of the sport and delivers the depth and passion we all live for. The developers need to go all in — studying each team, their traditions, and what makes baseball feel like baseball.

We don’t just want a better game. We deserve one.

I’m a Dodgers fan and they aren’t getting I Love LA either nor do I expect it or even want it. EA employs 5000-15,000 people and SDS employs 120-250 people.

The user scores on Metacritic disagree with your assessment of how much better NCAA is. This game actually scores higher than it and most of the scores are mixed vs unfavorable for NCAA. Go play football and goodbye.

@akapaco159_MLBTS SDS will never do it. It would be cool. But I'm not holding my breath.

@fubar2k7_PSN they'll add something new to DD, update a few uniforms and stadiums, and add in a new negro league storylines feature. The storyline thing has so much potential, but they do the history of the negroe leagues now. I thought the first year they did it with both the Negroe Leagues and the Derek Jeter thing, that every year there was going to be new things added for other historical players runs etc etc. Historical runs like Fernando Mania, the 86 Mets, the 1964 Phillies Collapse, the Joe DiMaggio hit streak, The Big Red Machine, The Finley A's, baseball moving out west, The Brooklyn Dodgers...all of these with new historical stadiums, uniforms, rosters, etc. But nope. It's just a new version of the Negroe Leagues history. Wasted potential so far.

@JoeSelser_PSN The game has gotten so watered down with silly games it doesn’t even feel like a baseball game anymore. And you cannot tell me the presentation and graphic couldn’t be better, come on now.

@JoeSelser_PSN At least bring back the Sounds Of The Show somehow and let us upload our own bought music or someone else do it for us like the good ol days. But graphics and presentation definitely need an upgrade.

@fubar2k7_PSN Also you can’t tell me MLB is better than CFB in presentation and graphics. That’s crazy. I know SDS can step their game up and get it done. The game has looked the same for 10 years.

SDS needs to sell the rights to the Show. We need a total overhaul of the game. We see complaints everyday with no fixes. That tells us all we need to know.

Put realignment back in franchise mode, it's been missing since the 989 days.

Want the retail price to double? Because that's how retail prices double.

There is nothing to sell; there is no exclusivity agreement. No one else wants to make a baseball game unless you want MLB Advanced Media to make games again, and no one wants that.

What we the paying customers deserve most of all is a new SDS senior leadership that genuinely cares to LISTEN to paying customers and strives to implement all the suggestions that fall within rational budget considerations, and be honest about those that do not.

Boiler plate replies about "passing this along to the team," doesn't cut the mustard. That's been the truth since the beginning of time. People can read through boiler plate and it causes more harm than if nothing was said. However, nothing said combined with nothing done to even fix the majority of the bugs the new release caused is the most harmful combination.

That's the result of bad leadership.

They need to dump Microsoft and Nintendo. The game has slipped since they had to make games for those consoles.

@fubar2k7_PSN Exactly. Honestly, I don’t care who ends up producing the game—but if they can’t get the job done or keep up with the times, something needs to change. I’ve played The Show for many years, and over that time I’ve watched it steadily decline. It’s now painfully clear they’re falling behind in presentation, graphics, and especially online play. The game needs a complete overhaul.

The storylines and Negro League additions, while appreciated, are no longer enough to mask its deeper flaws. Features like metal bats are meaningless if the core gameplay isn’t improving. I’m hopeful that by 2026 they can finally turn the page and make a gigantic leap forward. And even if they add the WBC in this year’s release, it still won’t matter if the graphics and presentation remain a complete mess.
