Mid Season Weekend Classic

This mid season weekend classic is stupid. I am currently in the Gold II league. I have played my 6 games, but only 1 was against someone who should have been there (I know i shouldnt have been there either) My leaderboard is completely full of people who have reached 1000 rating at some point. Playing top players on hall of fame is hellish, especially in weekend classic. Can we please stick with regular weekend classic at the end of the season instead of this?
Just FYI I went 4-2, so im not just complaining cuz I was bad -
They either didn’t play enough or they de-ranked

I actually wouldn't mind just keeping my rating all year and working down or up and maybe wins or something determine world series...
I'm like 25-4 or something around that and haven't played ranked for like 2 months. Right now I think my rating is 350 or 450. The rewards for weekend classic are a waste of time at this level. I'm just gonna work on parallels for these new cards I like.
With tens of thousands of users I'm sure it's impossible to get something that works for everyone.
Or maybe have people choose the online difficulty they want to play in and rank people based off their chosen difficulty level. Still need to have greater rewards for those that choose legend vs all star but just not sure the fairest way to do all that.

@Talkingben9558_XBL same here, but this is the way the system works. You could have reached 1000 before and just played enough to reach Gold 2 … Anyway, I beat a 1000 player and I am pretty sure he did not belong there ever (I will not get into details)
What I tried to say: Go ahead and face the challenge. That is the beauty of WC :). I beat my 1000-opponent and I am not nearly able to compete on that level … HOF is challenge enough for me

Ive been in hof the last 2 weekend classic events. I dont know if its making me better or angrier at this point. Every game is a snooze fest and a strike out fest. And when the game doesn't reward good hitting it makes it even more frustrating.

I have not experienced that … I had some awesome games, a 6-4 … an extra-inning-meltdown (1-1 score going in the 10th) from me
… Hall-of-Fame is awesome. To me it resembles the sport pretty good -
I was 860 last league played gold 1 this time so went down a league got my
handed too me. My losses to come with lots of input delay and lag typically but ya. Overall crushed -
