Will my progress transfer from console to console?

Going away this weekend and thinking of picking up the show for my switch but will my DD progress transfer between my Xbox and my switch? I don’t want to waste my money and time if it won’t!

Yes, if you know how to do it you can use the same account over multiple platforms.

It should, as long as you link the account here on the site under the accounts option.

Link the accounts, do the mandatory DD tutorial with a new non-descript team and after that your progress should merge

It’s not a transfer issue, it’s a server issue.
Your progress is saved on the servers, not your console. When you link accounts, ensure your primary account is the account that has your progress. If you link backwards (make the account that doesn’t have your progress as primary), it will appear that you have lost all of your progress and acquisitions. You haven’t. Just unlink and relink ensuring your account with progress is primary.
The game settings are not saved on the servers, so you will need to set the game up after installing it and linking.

Don’t buy a version above the base version for the switch. The only time you will be able to take advantage of the things that come with the game is when your account is unlinked.
Once your accounts are linked (properly), you can play on either console and you will see cross-progression.
